Northern California has areas for the Right wingers. Anything above Yuba City to the stateline of Oregon. Or look into Kern County too OP.

The line is actually Sacramento. Everything northeast of it is red.

My aunt and uncle used to live in Paradise in the 90's. I loved the scenery out there. Giant ass trees and my 12yr old brain could not wrap my head around the red dirt lol. I remember paradise/chico being much different than when i visited the bay area which was just 100% bums and panhandlers and ***gotry abound

There's nothing up there. The cost of living is significantly cheaper than the rest of the state but the weather sucks. blistering hot in the summer, and just stuck in the upper 30's all winter, but never quite cold enough to snow (unless you actually go up to the mountains). There are no jobs everyone is either a nurse a crippled tradie hauling lumber or some chit or a "hustler" doing odd jobs. You're hours away from the beach, but its "pacific northwest beaches" and by that I mean there's no sand at the shore its just gravel and the Alaskan current brings in all the cold water so you'll freeze your balls of the moment you step foot in the water, and even if you have a wetsuit, the waves are too calm to surf. Its perpetually muddy and dirty, and its just a cluster of small podunk towns with nothing to do but gamble at casinos. Yet despite all of that you still have to deal with the high cost of living compared to the rest of the country without the perks of living in California. If I wanted to stay in a region of country like Norcal, I'd just move to a place like Idaho because its basically the same damn place in terms of job opportunities and demographics.
Pretty spot on. When people talk about the weather it's always SoCal, NorCal weather really kind of sucks. I will say that the Sierras are pretty similar to being back home in the rural midwest as far as culture and people go. Which might not be a bad thing for some people but you still have the all the downsides to normal California. That's the biggest issue here, no matter how nice a spot you try and hide in you still have to deal with California politics.

Northern California felt like being back in Texas with the southern feel people wise and atmosphere

Never new the word drought existed there but it does big time

Good place to find a woman since they are all rural and for most part still have the wanting to make family be your woman mindset especially when you bring something new to their lives of boredom

Barely any black people and plenty Mexicans but there’s good food woman and they are cool

Perfect for camping, rivers, lakes, hot springs and other outdoors fun

Only miss it now that I’ve been sent to England and Virginia
