but this NYE I was generally unhappy as a friend moved overseas and I find that most my close friends are just 'busy' with businesses and chit

I worked. Looked after 3 hotels, casino, 5 NYE parties, 20,000+ people :\ 1600 - 0400 shift. Being adult sometimes sucks lol
