Okay I see, thanks for the suggestions. I haven't seen these but I have heard of Ran and Seven Samurai. I kept typing in Akira periodically to see if they would show all the dbz episodes on sky TV, every single time Ran came up haha. I'll take a look, thanks.

What made u want to watch Japanese movies? I tried watching Indian movies and it made 0 sense. I went out to Sri-Lanka and even though I partially understand the language, lol, it still made 0 sense. Even the English shows were unbelievable. So just imagine the stuff in their native language. It just seemed illogical to even produce something of that nature, I had no idea on what was going on start to finish haha.

Indiana jones, the third film is the PERFECT film in my opinion
The Yellow Sea, another foreign film but epic

I can’t help but notice you didn’t mention any of the alien films or predator (only predator 1 counts) as they’re also classed as epic films
Nice list, again, a few of those I haven't heard of. Thanks.

American Psycho was a bit crazy lol. The Last Samurai was so cool, I wanted to look like Tom Cruise from that film in real life before lol, a mix of him and young Bautista, I think it was the long hair paired with an actual man/ripped jaw type low bf% guy, looked insanely cool. But then I saw Brad Pitt fight club/Reese in Malcolm in the middle/Paul Walker in the first Fast and Furious, couldn't get any more cooler, not even possible lol. Guys now look **** like pussy wimps, nowhere near that level, miles below even the worst garbage I thought was possible. I somehow forgot about Indiana Jones, those films were amazing. Perfect actors in that film. Lol I think I got my brother the mad max cd, I can't remember.

I'll check out Fallen later, sounds pretty crazy.

Yeah I didn't want to mention numerous films from the same actor, also, what Samuraiwise said lol. Alien, Predator, Alien vs Predator, and whatever else there is were all amazing. Just creative geniuses that no longer exist. I wish it did, haven't been to a cinema in years. It was so amazing to stare at the huge panel film showcases outside on the cinema wall thinking which one should I watch. Lol, not even a thing now :/

You should have read the Original post more carefully. That's why others didn't mentionthe Alien franchise.
Sounds good! I don't think the trailers of those films showcase what the film is truly about haha. These films seem to have a similar theme with them all including martial arts. I thought they'd be peaceful like Pat Morita in Karate Kid lol! Which one of those did u like the best? We have a bonsai tree in our garden because of that guy, hasn't grown or died, been there for like 15 years. Do u know of any Japanese movies from maybe 1990-2010ish?

I'll take a look at the ones u suggested and I'll let u know how it goes.

Speaking of this, I’m kind of with the OP but i have to say the new Blade Runner 2049 was pretty good for a new movie.

Okay that's cool to know. Thanks. I'll probably watch it tomorrow, I'll let u know how it goes.

Yeah haha, I remember there were a few others like the day after tomorrow. That was pretty good, it talked about upcoming potentially irreversible climate shifts which is quite interesting, mainly because the film came out 19 years ago in 2004. So the future of that is now.

I was really into those survival disaster movies, I can't really remember all the other ones, I swear there was like 10 of them with similar names. Then I watched Bear Grylls and that was pretty good, learnt a lot from that since those aforementioned survival movies were a bit crazy haha. Would love to see a modern day guy thrown into a jungle, lol, he'd just look for an outlet for his gay little phone and would get eaten by a caterpillar. 20 years ago I swear the average male would be alright in the jungle with minimal resources :/

Top Gun Maverick was honestly a great movie to just enjoy in a theater and I'm not a movie snob either and the camera work in thecockpitwas amazing. Sure fictional in a lot of ways compared to real life but imo a solid ass movie

Cool list. The woman in kill bill was crazy! I watched that in school on the computer haha, every 5 minutes the system admin kept rebooting my station, lol, I probably need to watch that film again.

I have seen most of what you mentioned. The film there's something about mary is one of my favourite films I swear, despite it not being all neon ricers/tribal tattoos and hard **** that I'm into, for some reason I just really liked that movie. I found the entire thing funny especially when he was doing wwe on that dog. The jokes in that movie aren't a thing in modern movies, now it's all about foul language and it's all just retarded with ugly weirdo awkward actors. Before it was good fun with hot ripped actors. The bad guy in that film was funny aswell.

I think it was like this with all of the 90s films, they all seemed peaceful and ridiculously creative. Look at the cast of any of the 90s films, they all looked super hot. Most of the guys looked like they could rip a text book in half with the jaws they had lol. So awesome. Post 2014/especially 2020 they just pick up whatever garbage or a copy and paste star who couldn't give a **** about the **** movie with a recycled 10x worse plot. The trailers look horrific. Trailers were the best before 2011.

I'll watch the fifth element tomorrow or something. I have seen it, I recognise the woman from resident evil and obviously Bruce Willis, pretty sick cast. I'm pretty sure I watched it with my family and everyone wouldn't stop talking haha.

Thanks!

Yeah those were amazing films. Someone else mentioned heat and I thought they were talking about red heat. I'll have to check out red again.

Yeah, I've seen all of the fast and furiouses. After 3 the theme changed, after 5 it wasn't really about cars (still good since it was a new concept), then after that, I wasn't into it. With the whole era shift post 2012 in mind, I dunno, so many other garbage tv shows/movies are just dumb random action, it's just the same everytime just like the newer fast and furious films.

Fast and Furious was amazing when they stuck with their own street racing with boosted cars and young random actors in normal areas. Paul Walker had the sickest image. Vin Diesel and Roman were ripped as ****. All the women had killer bodies. That's not a thing now. The modern ones have like 50 year old men with plastic surgery doing **** in armoured tanks that cost more than 10 houses?? The women looked like **** lol. Plus, that car culture is long gone so I don't think we'll ever see that again. I guess they just moved with the times. I'm sure the later fast and furious movies had tanks/offroad vehicles, just retarded. Just random and just a typical action movie with a giant budget. Soon they'll revamp the whole scene with eco cars, LOL.

LOL, I can just imagine the sequel being more like "Slow and Steady: Return of the blah blah blah." Haha.

I dunno, remember Roman when he took off his shirt and bashed that window in? Or when that ridiculously cool looking guy with popped collars/spiked hair threatened to burn that fat guys eyes out/put a rat on his belly? Or just the random women in the background being ridiculously hot? Actors like that just don't exist now. Those guys had a killer image and actually looked like solid men. Now the guys just look like wimps. Kills the movie.

Completely forgot about the soundtracks. The first 3 fast and furious films had amazing fitting soundtracks. Especially 1 and 2. The modern ones were just so retarded, it was horrific. No effort went into that, just so awkward and weird.

I'll check out 9th company. When I just searched it up, I thought one of the actors looked like a soldier version of the guy from American Pie lol.

Thought that was a piece of chit.

Bay did way better with Pain & Gain and The Island.

OP, watch Se7en and The Game from Fincher.

Almost everything on this list is worth watching.

I saw a part of this about 5 years ago. It's insane how everyone looks so cool in this movie. I did not know it was 1991! I remember laughing at the main guy for having a dangly earring, but then I realised that his persona does not match that and he'd just launch me through a wall if I said that LOL. That's the distinction between wall built guys like him and the pussies weeds now. That guy could show up in a tutu and he'd command a strong respect, can't say that about guys now. Heck, a guy now in a full suit and tie/roided up commands 0 respect, it's an era thing with the personas/image. Nobody notices this.

I'll watch this later, looks pretty sick, thanks. Any other cool movie suggestions from these years? 1991 for me is when movies started getting insanely cool. (With maybe 10ish anomalies predating that (being the terminator, the goonies, alien etc etc etc)

EDIT: Apparently there is a 2nd one called "back in business" in 1997. Have u seen that? Is it any good? I haven't seen any of that one.

Again, how the heck can someone design something so epic looking, had an actual manly looking guy with an insane text font, then the rest of the art is just covered in flames. So hardcore I swear, stuff like that would never even be a thought now. I swear the creative minds back then designing this **** were pumped on adrenaline or something.

If guys grew up with this **** all over again, there'd be no wimps/pussies sitting around all day complaining about nothing and gluten. **** like that just gets me so pumped up, I swear. So crazy how different everything was back then. No wonder the population all looked so hardcore at the time. Entry level was to be built/look cool as **** and whatever. Women were on a whole other level, what the heck happened I swear. Would be a dream to exist in that time.

It's refreshing to make a thread like this and to talk about the old era. The sad part is that most people only know this **** in the back of their mind.
