Love the classics! Some of my fondest memories were watching the TCM channel with my Grandfather and Dad once a week growing up

I love these old movies.
very few actors, no special effects. They actually had to act. There arent many today who could pull one off.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."– Carlos Castaneda

My Sister Eileen 1942. Great cast and I'm a huge Rosalind Russell fan. If you're into comedy this is a fun watch and so many laughs.

The Old Dark House (1932)
This somewhat lesser known gem has great performances across the board. With good humor and proper creepiness, The Old Dark House deserves to be lauded as much as it's other Universal counterparts.

Starring Richard Boone, this is a fun little Twilight Zone-esque film about the strange goings on at the cemetery.

Not the last great Italian horror but definitely marking the end of an era, this movie similar to I Bury the Living tells the tale of the wild, weird and twisted goings on at a cemetery…Italian style…Dario Argento protege Michele Soavi directs this, his best movie.

On The Beach 1959
American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama film from United Artists staring Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire, and Anthony Perkins. Produced and directed by Stanley Kramer it is based on Nevil Shute's 1957 novel "On the Beach" depicting the aftermath of a nuclear war. Unlike in the novel, no one is assigned blame for starting the war, which attributes global annihilation to fear compounded by accident or misjudgment.

Kimm4, when they sail into San Francisco Bay and take a look to see if there are any signs of life, you can catch a glimpse of my old office building there, which was built in 1925, and was the tallest in SF for a number of years, with only low-rise buildings surrounding it (so it stood out clearly in the movie shot).

One of the great over the top exploitation action films of all time. Preposterous in every way, this is Andy Sedaris' masterpiece.

Some call it the best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock didn't make. Directed by Stanley Donen, this film stars two of the greatest movie stars of all time. Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn shine together in this engaging mystery.

For my money this is the best Vincent Price Poe adaption. Along with Price, with Roger Corman directing and the great Nicolas Roeg as cinematographer you can't miss.

When most people thing of James Caan they think of The Godfather maybe Rollerball, and if you're younger, Elf. But perhaps his greatest performance is in this film directed by Michael Mann in his feature film directorial debut.

Not exactly under the radar since it won 7 oscars, but anyone who hasn't seen The Sting should really check it out.

Nearly on par with some of the other zombie classics of the decade, and with it's quintessential 80's aesthetic this visually stunning film is a must watch for any 80's horror fan:

Dated in some ways, this film remains one of the great post-war musicals. Starring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. Also with Ann Miller and Vera-Ellen.

1963 British Sci-fi film.
Meteor showers, walking giant carnivorous plants and the world population went blind, literally.
based on the 1951 novel by John Wyndham, which recently I read long after watching the movie (LOL, roughly half a century ago?), and pretty good.
It's funny, whenever I try to remember the scene it's black and white but obviously not.
Fortunately, Youtube has a 94 min full movie.
I'm gonna re-watch it tonight.
