The more you know.......One story of the history of chicken & waffles begins in Harlem in the 1930s. Specifically, a restaurant named the Wells Supper Club is listed as the origin of the recipe. Chicken and waffles were on the menu at this Harlem restaurant back during the jazz era of music.

Its too many carbs and too much sugar for already fat kids.

Reminds of the first time I had Roscoes chicken and waffles in California. Used to go to the one in inglewood. Was the only white person and it was when I first shaved my head. Literally the entire place looked at me like I was insane and would look over at me devouring chicken and waffles like "the balls on this mothafuka." Was hysterical.

I'd be fookin amped if I was served chicken and waffles like that.

Hash House in Las Vegas Chicekn and Waffles was one of the most legit meals I ever ate (nevermind that its in a dump of a casino).
