It's standard pop music with dull music.

If you look at a group like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the female singer has a unique voice she does weird things with and can sound really sweet. The musicians make unique music you don't hear from other sources. So, they can go on stage and people are like, wow, that was something different.

I can sing "Happy Birthday" pretty well but for people to come and listen to me sing it, I'd have to put on some kind of show with a bunch of homos in Hell where we are all singing to Satan's penis.
