There were some senators saying they were briefed on the previous flights I think?

Anyways, we're past the point of this where I give any fuks about Trump/Biden politics TBH. We pay for the best defense. Use it, solve the problem.

Radar techs are able to configure filters to clear up the radar picture, otherwise the system will generate a lot of clutter and false tracks. When my unit's techs adjusted the radar picture one night, we actually started to see poorly made Iranian UAVs flying into northern Iraqi airspace, and sent F-16s after them (really dumb in the end because we needed them for convoy overwatch).

If the filters were in place well before Biden got in office, and something changed now, I don't really think that's a hit on Trump, and certainly sounds stupid for the Biden administration to even make that a political narrative.

The US uses a wide range of surveillance/reconnaissance vehicles, as do other countries. I think what has surprised the US at the moment is probably the scale at which it's been going on, and it's also possible some of these balloons/airships are not just purely for signals intelligence.

On a side note, although they are right to not trust our corrupt government, I've seen a lot of Conservatives turn this into a "Project Blue Beam", "Aliens are a distraction" narrative on social media. It's not, and they should save themselves further embarrassment. The government doesn't need distractions anymore, they get away with plenty in plain sight.

It was definitely stupid IMO for the Biden Admin to bring up Trump the way they did, like they were still stinging from getting caught up in the classified documents drama and their first thought was just claim Trump had balloons too hurr durr.
