Q is cool, but they messed up a lot of the canon, and you'll be upset with how it was all handled if you're a fan.

Q:

This is a horrible character because it makes the show not science fiction but fantasy.

Even the OG Trek suffers from having these all powerful beings that make the show about magic vs science fiction.

Science fiction has to be about possible situations involving real possible science. There have been tons of Trek shows with no science fiction.

I couldn't watch the Next Generation shows involving the "holodeck" because it's this space show but instead the characters are in a Sherlock Holmes storey. The Q stories are the same as the holodeck ones where it has nothing to do with people exploring space, etc.

I don't know why they can't hire science fiction authors to write these things.

Star Trek Discovery is about using a quantum fungus network to travel anywhere instantly....a homosexual guy controls this technology.

I heard that season 3 was good, so I gave the first episode a watch. I did not hate it. Will watch next weeks episode.

Picard is so old, its a bit sad to watch. His voice is so weak. He used to have a commanding presence, and now he seems so frail. I mean he's 80, so that's to be expected...still, make me sad to watch.
Riker was great. He is older and heavier, but Jonathan Frakes has not lost a step. He's still the heroic character we remember from the 80's and 90s'.
Dr. Crusher looked good too. Maybe a face-lift too many, but that's the Hollywood norm for a woman in her 70's.
The new ship was a nice design that looked sufficiently like the old ships but updated.
I didn't like was how all the sets looked like Blade Runner cyberpunk dystopia. All dark and noir. It did not feel very Star Trek-like. Star Trek is supposed to look bright and sleek like the inside of a dentist office.

I may come back to it at some point, because I used to ejaculate a lot to the younger crew.

Those tittays were shown on Death Wish 3 when she was attacked.

Haven't watched the new series but still watch old episodes of TNG.

My username here was suppose to be RIKER as I was watching TNG when I made my user account, but somehow I mistakenly added a T...and yes, because of that, a new #1 was born...

If you want to see liberal bullsh!t watch Trek Discovery. It's off the charts!

However, the lead black actress is really good and they don't make an issue of her being black, which is great. However, the gay stuff is beyond.

I also didn't like the look, I mean The Federation is supposed to be a post-scarcity society and yet everything looks bleak.

I like Michelle Yeoh ever since Crouching Tiger, but you are right, she has too many fight scenes. Her character is at least interesting for the most part.

I stopped watching when the show first came out because she instantly got killed. She comes back as an alternate universe character so at least she has some acting to do and she's not a homosexual.

The redhead is a GREAT example of why these shows are poorly written. Star Fleet is supposed to be about picking the best people and in the future most people are at their best because our society isn't as vicious as it is now. So, you can have people with unique personalities but mentally ill ones. The redhead and other characters are like idiots and weirdos and I don't think they would be in Star Fleet.

I didn't like Picard because he used to say he didn't like children, which is a sign of being crazy since children are humans. A person who says they don't like children is dehumanizing them an not sane.

I love the original Star Trek and nearly all of the shows after were seriously flawed.

I watched a bunch of Strange New Worlds episodes and thought that was good. It's positive and there is not a lot of weirdness. So, I am watching the others shows and saving that for last.

If you go back and watch enterprise I think you will like that better than strange new worlds which I could only stomach for like 2 episodes.

It's got scott bakula, the guy from the original quantum leap, which was also pretty good.

I did enjoy that series.

I could not stand the horny Vulcan asking to take showers with people though. It was so weird, but that was the only part I didn't like.

LOL I didn't even realize the person was trans until halfway through. It doesn't matter to me who is cast as long as they do a good job with their role. I enjoyed the show overall. It was a lot better than Picard.
