Misc, who knows? I don't agree with everything posted here, not even close, but it does make me think. We grow by being challenged. Some of it I've accepted, some rejected, but I know that the Misc has made me pause and consider what I take for granted. And for that, I'll always be grateful.

I agree on the turning our lives around part, which is why I largely disagree with the Incel/FA crew here even know I'm labeled as such myself.

I've learned a thing or two here and met some cool people. I'll definitely be mourning what this place used to be.

I could host just the forum on my aws account for l300/mo on misc traffic.

Problem is when there's an outage etc and bb.com has all this bodyspace and shopping cart tie ins that the sysadmin part costs money. Also when the site is compromised, that costs money or if somebody ddos. A regular forum is $50/mo for decent uptime. This forums traffic is like $300/mo but the sysadmin part gonna cost 100k to keep a toxic forum working well. Aws would kick me off if people reported the content posted here, which means dedicated server required and isp willing to accept. Now we're at 300k due to the sysadmins needed to run it.

The brand and consumer data has monetary value, buying the forum itself is high value, at least 3 million plus. Then you have to monetize it, and that's without the shopping cart and brand deals etc. You'd need to pay 10 for the entire business.

It's a decent chunk to run a toxic forum with good uptime. Unless you want to quit your day job or you can monetize the forum, you'll spend all of your time fixing it and have no return on investment.

I wouldn't invest in the misc. Bb.com could be used to monetize but you would have to make it a real powerhouse again and spend a ton on marketing.... just to sell overpriced supplements. Merging withe a competitor seems like the only out for bb.com to become profitable again, which means dumping misc.

There was a forum. It now has a 404 error so it died. It was mostly chit posting and pron.
