Most people go the psychedelic route when they want to get "fast" spiritual experiences because the veil is thinned, and you can start having visions and see other dimensions, but it's only temporarily. It's better to practice and train your focus via meditation.
Meditation should be taught in school. It would solve things like ADHD, alleviate depression, improve focus, and decrease stress amongst other benefits.
I can focus on a solitary task for 4-8 hours because of it.
