He was just like a lot of idiots that thought he could take these liver cleanse drinks from whole foods, gnc, and pills and stuff and be just fine. Other people can drink for 20+ years like this and have nothing happen.my exes BIL was like this...come home from work, down a case and pass out in bed. always talking about alcohol like it's the secret to life. the wife said she liked him better drunk so that has been their relationship for the last decade+. sad thing is they have 4 kids and got mad about a text they found from the 13 yr old telling some boy they didn't approve of (black) that her dad stays drunk all the time.
Crazy enough reading about it says it you take 2 weeks off your liver will basically be healed for the most part. If you’ve drank ridiculously and haven’t screwed your liver up beyond repair you might need a month. After that your liver should be completely healed assuming you drink in moderation moving forward. The problem is people like my friend that couldn’t even go 2 days much less 2 weeks without alcohol.

I agree with that logic. If it enhances life then it's great and you should drink.. once it's stops enhancing life (if ever) then youve got a real problem that needs delt with. I got arrested the last 10 times I drank lol. It wasn't fun anymore. Last time I got drunk was 7 years ago and I don't miss it.

I only drink with women, at the poker table, or wine with dinner. If you are sitting alone and drinking then I think that is a waste and only damaging you. I’ve never been much of a drinker but I would never judge someone that likes a few beers after work every night. If you are like my brother and drink a fifth and black out every night and can’t be a normal member of society, that’s a different story.

I got so hungover on Easter that I made a fool of myself puking and downing more to feel better in front of my gf parents that I may not ever drink againI highly doubt that. Friend I worked with downed an entire bottle of SoCo a night for 2 straight years. Would come in random Tuesdays or Thursdays with red stains on his teeth from downing 2-3 bottles of red wine the night before. Ultimately started crushing about a 12 pack while at work and going to lunch and drinking. Then drank when he got home. This was his life for about 10 years. Yellow as a sticky notes, swollen hands and feet, and ascites looking like he was carrying triplets at 34 years old.
I read if you wanna drink like an idiot then you better be working out and exercising, as it can negate the damage somewhat. If you’re just a lazy sob crushing 18 beers a day or so and do nothing then your liver is gonna be fkd.

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Drink is something I occasionally partake in. Just the odd measure of whiskey for taste, or share a few bottles of craft beer and cocktails with my GF - once again for taste but also to accompany a movie. Getting a bit tipsy around each other is a nice couple activity.
My best friend at home in the UK has a drinks collection, we have a few during a visit to catch up and drink to our future.
This is how men drink IMO. As an example a 70cl bottle of whiskey can last me a whole year unless I'm trying to finish it.

Just replace alcohol with something safer for your liver such as codeine/morphine or some other weak opiate. Can also throw in a nicotine vape to get you thru the day.
Pill popping is much more trendy than guzzling beers and stinking of alcohol. It's not the 1600's anymore

I don't drink for chit. You know those annoying self-help financial gurus. They say you can save a lot of money by skipping coffee. They should say you can save money by skipping the cigarettes and alcohol.

That's a terrible way of thinking, OP. If you need a substance to improve the quality of your life, you should thoroughly inspect what's causing your current life to be devoid of substance and make some marked changes to reduce the need to consume something to make things less dull/painful. You probably know this, though. You just need to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and make these changes.

You say that until alcohol starts making you suffer through miserable health issues that can potentially result in a premature death that is a lot more painful and obnoxious of an experience than it needed to be without it.
Stop watching shiiit like Christopher Hitchens videos. In the end, most of the advice isn't as great as it sounds when you hear it early in your adulthood years, like hearing it ages 18 - 23 or so. Once you're in your 30's, that shiiit becomses a huge joke.
