Another reason why it's better to marry younger than older: You've accumulated less wealth since you're younger, therefore you've got less to risk in a divorce scenario.

Generally, you're not risking any assets you brought into a marriage. It's typically only assets accumulated after becoming married that are at risk.

It's actually a lot worse to get married early and build a business then have your wife divorce you.

I have a very good friend that I talk to.

She is 25 yrs old.

She is engaged now, and they are planning the wedding.

I would have married her myself, but she was already dating this guy when I met her. They're now engaged.



Personally, I don't mind if my future wife has slept with her high school sweetheart, because I did that too as I'm not a virgin either.

But what would bother me is high body count, or if a girl allows herself to be degraded by a loser in a creepy relationship. That's the line for me. Women have to be careful who they choose to sleep with, because we men will look and say "You liked HIM???"

There's also more virgins in foreign countries, not like here in the US. Take Japan for example where theres a much higher virginity rate.

A lot of women in their 20s would marry a stable guy in his 40s. She knows your secks drive will taper off so she can probably get away with fooling around, plus your gonna die and she gets everything eventually.

Because generally speaking you are a more valuable item in the dating market. Assuming you look as good (or better) in your 40's than you did in your 20's, you will have plenty of attention from women in their mid-late twenties/early 30's without children who want a serious relationship/husband.

If I were to do it all over again I'd probably wait until around 35ish to settle down/look for a wife andnotin my early 20's.

Women will select a husband in his 20's because of his potential. But when you are in your 40's, the proof is in the pudding (unless you are a loser).

It’s all about money IMO. Most people in their 20s aren’t doing so great financially. They’re either still in college or just graduated and have debt or loans. Even if your parents helped out, You get your first professional job making like 50k-75k. It’s really not enough to settle down and have kids. Especially in our post COVID world chit is still soooo fuked (job security, buying a home, etc)

I’d rather experiment, have fun and focus on myself in my 20s and figure out what im doing alone. Marriage could help with that if you marry a career driven woman who pushes you and helps you, but I think many women just want to be a princess and find a guy who does all the hard work for them.

If I ever choose to get married it will probably happen in my early 30s. I’ll be more financially set and more established in my career path. But I’m lazy and don’t enjoy working. I could be a surf bum and never have any responsibilities and that could be the life for me. It’s just societal and family pressure.

After 40 I would feel like my time is up and I’ve missed out. Unless I extremely wealthy and met the right person at 40+ it would seem weird trying to get married and have kids at that point. I wouldn’t want to be a 50 year old man with like a 10 year old son. Weird life.

40's:

- Wife is at least in her 30's and probably divorced
** just marry an early 20s virgin instead.

- Wife has had dozens of dink with lots of baggage

I get guys wanting to wait until they are established, but I think it is fool's gold for most. Yeah, it takes money to have a family, but not as much as many make it out to be. For me, I wanted to move into my family phase of life as soon as practical. If I would have waited until later to have kids, I may have more had more money, an easier life, and flexibility with regard to time, but at the same time I would have been giving up the 20 years of married life that has been very good to me, 20 years less time on this earth with my kids, and 20 years less with my future grandkids. The argument that if I had enough money I could not work or work less and put more time into my kids is the one thing that tempts me, but ultimately, I do not think it's worth it.

Lots of people want kids earlier and things just don't work out. Others don't figure out that they want families until older. If I was in either of those situations, I wouldn't let age stop me. At the same time for someone that wants a family, I would not recommend intentionally putting it off.

Late 30's, early 40's is goat. Career is established, you both have assets, homes, money, etc. If you want a large family, 20's is the way, but in my 20's if i would have married, i would have surely ended in divorce. Penor is still in charge in your 20's and early 30's so your decision making ability when it comes to a life partner is extremely biased based on basically looks. In your late 30s and 40s you have a pretty good idea of what you need, like, etc. I wish i could have found my wife in her 20's but that didnt work out. Nothing wrong with either way honestly....just don't end up in the MGTOW miscer crowd and swear off women ,family, marriage, etc. That is a recipe for a life of disappointment. Don't be afraid to take some chances. I can promise you that 99% of you who think you're "slayers" and a few dogecoin trades away from millionare status are playing yourselves by not pursing a life and family.
