Yep. I'm not too sure that I agree with this, but I'm certainly not strongly opposed to it either. Even though I don't believe in the Theological stuff, Christianity generally advocates good morals and conduct.

Strong retards ITT who are against having someone enforce a moral high ground with the next generation, when American culture is filled with vices and degeneracy. Even if you're against religion itself, this is a good step in the right direction to help children select the right path and stay disciplined towards a life with good morals. and ethics. Chaplains also are great just to talk and vent to, as they are very receptive and can talk to troubled kids who have it bad at home. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

It's odd that you think one needs to be Christian in order be a rational, thoughtful, and considerate person. Too bad 99% of the "Christians" on this board are the opposite of that.

the biggest mistake Christians made and allowed was separating state and religion. the founders should have made amendments in order to preserve Christianity, or have been made to add such provisions.

the results of which you see today. secularism/liberalism/what ever is considered progressive is always going to be the "dominant religion" of the present. and it's always going to clash with religious traditions as a threat to progress. even if said "progress" is now denying what a man and a woman is.

The declaration of independence while it did guarantee freedoms ironically was the nail in the coffin for Christianity. It did nothing to preserve it so they signed their own eventual death warrant. Only just allowed it to exist in a secular/liberal framework. It's basically a slow erosion and burn over the course of 250+ years that will culminate in self-extinction.

Christians got cucked by the provision of separating state and religion.

You can read a lot of comments by the Founding Fathers about religion to understand it was intentional. Had something to do with that little thing about having a nation built on freedom.

Conservatives are in a losing battle because of an understanding of values and principles. We know something is bad, not because it has already happened, but because our values and principles help us understand WHY something is bad. Explaining this to the leftist is like trying to prove a negative. You canโ€™t always prove it, but you know โ€œ2+2=4โ€.

75%+ of revolutionists and extremists are the youth. Uncoincidentally, they make up a vast majority of the poor too. Unwise, uneducated, poor, worthless, severe Dunning Kruegerโ€ฆthis is why election standards matter. Why being responsible before you can vote matters.

which is my point

build a nation upon "maximum freedom" and "liberal values" and it will all fall into complete degeneracy.

founding fathers cucked Christianity. just lol. even more cucked is Christians not believing in a statehood for religion if their goal is to call as many people to Jesus Christ as possible and have them follow it. What you got now is the majority of Christians only Christian by name, embracing secularism/liberalism and live by general statements like "love thy neighbour" but really the interpretation of this depends on the flavour of the day and teaches to tolerance of everything. Even blue-haired drag queen wackos teaching kids in public school.

so we did this thread about 2-3 weeks ago in the ov35 forum.
cliffs:
It ignores other religions
It is against texas law( someone found the law)
Why is the single religion chosen to follow?

I was for it .......because it sets a cultural standard or code of conduct to be a basic human being, but only a place like Texas could get away with trying it.

What do you think the right is going to do when Democrats destroy the nation? Nothing left to lose? More people will come to God and the state will become non secular again. The key will be reigning in and putting a tight leash on the bureaucratic bodies, which is where the dictatorial powers are stemming from.

The congress and judicial branch are working on this right now. BRB, already saying the pledge of allegiance in congress again.

Lack of God, whether it's real/fake/whatever, leads society to some dark places.

At the same time, too much God, or too much power and influence of the Church, is likewise just asking for trouble (trouble in this case being children getting diddled by creeps).

I think society has strayed too far from God for sure, so taking measures to bring it back are not offensive to me. Keep in mind, I do not care whether God is real or not. I think Christian values help fortify the family and society, but hey, I'd take Buddhism and at times open to Islam - if the alternative is Clown World. Again, I am not overly concerned with any of it actually being real. A Godless family and society is worse off than the alternative.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

the only purpose of religion in a modern context is to control people and it only works if you keep them dumb enough to believe fantastical things.

state sponsored indoctrination of children is bad in all scenarios.

The presence of a Chaplain does not "violate the 1st amendment". OP mentioned dedicated (not compulsory - though perhaps it would be) prayer time, but that has not actually been proposed or legislated.

Try again.

So...where's "Congress" in all of this? Also a Chaplain = "establishment of religion" is a massive stretch, one that I would expect from a Beavercel who moves decimals 2 places to support his argument.

I don't think States are supposed to violate the Constitution. IMO, this won't really be a thing unless it's challenged in court.

What I find interesting is the hypocrisy of the right.

Since this is all well and good, I imagine those in support would also be cool with installing Imams in public schools. That's growth

Personally, I'm opposed to religious representation in public schools. Here we have Catholic schools for those who want religion as part of the children's education.

So does "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" enter into this discussion?

Also, Chaplains are more like counselors who have a religion (and...at least in the Military they can be NON Christian) but aren't there to aggressively push it or proselytize.

According to Democrats, if the people will it, it is constitutional. That is the only parameter that matters. What good is a constitution if the Democrats don't want it? What good does it do us to play by the rules, when the Democrats play by no one's rules/laws

Think about this for a moment; the federal government has taken over every aspect of our lives through bureaucracies and are violating federal law on behalf of the left. These bureaucracies do not follow the any legal and constitutional process. Democrat run cities and states, including their businesses, are hiring on the basis of race. The left has deemed eugenics "good" and created a billion dollar industry. School boards and teachers unions are implementing extremist values that violate the constitution.

All the speak of what is constitutional and unconstitutional based simply on ideas is moot. What matters is action. Who is actually breaking the law on a massive scale right now? Then you went to lecture conservatives as they oppose all of these unconstitutional laws?

You are possessed. I mean that psychologically and biblically

You shouldn't dignify him with such lengthy responses. He will find one little thing to nipick, while ignoring all of the rest.

Meanwhile, he still hasn't even found that vile of comirnaty.

This is precisely the hypocrisy to which I referred.

I also mentioned it's rather meaningless unless/until challenged in court.

The government here routinely violates our Charter and laws. My view is that it's better to challenge them in court than to give a free pass to the opposing party to do the same thing. In my view, politicians are sh!t regardless of which banner they fly.

In my opinion, if a country has a Constitution or Charter, it should be used to hold the government of the day to account - regardless of party.

Ideas mean nothing if you can't recognize pattern behavior and know what causes good and evil. People are generally good when left alone. Your complaint is about the reaction when it should be about the cause. In other words, you are trying to cure a symptom while ignoring the disease. There is only one time than an extremist right rose up, and it was in reaction to the far left. We have one example. Other examples would include oppressed groups rising up against they're supposed oppressor. In other words, if the left overthrows the right, the right will overthrow the left again, it's only a matter of time

If rule of law was reestablished, you would see conservatives all but disappear again. They are more worried about their personal lives than they are coercing their neighbor through political means.
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
