Several studies over the past few months show productivity while working remotely from home is better than working in an office setting. On average, those who work from home spend 10 minutes less a day being unproductive, work one more day a week, and are 47% more productive.
A study by Standford of 16,000 workers over 9 months found that working from home increase productivity by 13%. This increase in performance was due to more calls per minute attributed to a quieter more convenient working environment and working more minutes per shift because of fewer breaks and sick days.
In this same study workers also reported improved work satisfaction, and attrition rates were cut by 50%.
Working Remotely Can Increase Productivity up to 77%
77% of those who work remotely at least a few times per month show increased productivity, with 30% doing more work in less time and 24% doing more work in the same period of time according to a survey by ConnectSolutions.

Mr. Noseberg wants to look you in the eye and watch you bow to him, the superior man. That's all it is. No study needed. Life is, and will always be about MOGGIN.
He wants to know you woke up at 6AM and sat in traffic for an hour just so you could kiss his brass ring in person. Imagine what that feels like for him, how life affirming it is to have a whole floor full of productive little wagies running around making money for him. I'm getting a semi just thinking about it.

Can say a lot of things about him but his work drive is insane and he sees all this for what it is: “the economy” is the process of advancing humanity/society and $$$ is merely a unit of exchange facilitating trade in pursuit of that. The ultimate goal right now should be population of another planet largely to mitigate the risks associated with our civilization inhabiting only one planet.
Next step is to move outside our solar system to mitigate the risks associated with being tied to one star.

Been in the office all through the plandemic without fail. Most people "working from home" are lazy ****s (I would be too) and shouldn't be surprised if they lose their garbage job for someone willing to go into the office IMO

Things pulling wagies back into cages:
-commercial real estate failing
-cyber security risks
-AI/India taking your job
-entire cities income based on wagies consooming downtown
-human nature for boss's to have control
-female eye candy at the work place (semi srs)
-national acceptance that it was just the flu bro
Things keeping you WFH
-I enjoy wearing whatever pants I want
Good luck WFH boyos, better get that dry cleaning done before Monday. Remember, out of sight, out of mind.

If you can work from home 100% of the time, I guarantee a ****** can do your job at half the cost.

The difference is that WFH means you get to skip the commute (easily saving most people 3-5 hours of UNPAID time a week and gas $$), you can wear what you want, you don't have to put on a fake persona all day with coworkers you don't give a chit about and when you're done with your work for the day you don't have to go through an elaborate, pointless act to seem like you're being productive with the last couple of hours of the day.
I've always been able to efficiently streamline my work to get it done faster than required and all it led to was punishment by being given more bullchit work just because 'if you have time to lean you have time to clean' mentality middle managers without any additional compensation. As a result I'd just purposefully do everything slower to stretch it out over the day. That's all time wasted that I could have been using for my own self-care at home.
Everybody knows that most people in an 8 hour day are productive for like 3-5 hours maximum. If the work is getting done there is literally 0 point keeping people around for another 3 hours just because you're an extrovert who can't handle not having people to talk to during that day.

NO ONE is working, whether you're in the office or WFH, everyone is fed up with corporate culture where undeserving people get paid high salaries while the hardworking people get trampled.
Everyone is just doing the bare minimum and taking 15 minute smoking breaks every 5 minutes.
Management is stuck in quandry: they themselves don't know how to do any of the daily tasks, so they can't fire the staff even though the staff is doing sh/t work and taking 15 minute smoking breaks every 5 minutes.....
Boyos, keep slacking off, keep jerking off in the bathrooms and stealling coffee.... only a fool works hard....

Companies don't sell to the 3rd world, they sell to the 1st world. Which means that if they want their product/services to be excellent they need to hire people that contextually understand what that service/product should be like. Some guy who's lived in poverty in India his entire life isn't going to understand the nuances of western society, cultural expectations or pain points well enough to engage with the companies vision and make creative and viable adjustments and will usually lack the language fluency to communicate to fill in these gaps.
Have fun explaining to your software team lead that he has to work with a guy in a completely different time zone, communicating in broken English over a chit tier mic with unstable internet and coding ability thats 5 years old. It's just stupid

As a cubie who now works from home most of the time I actually agree. My productivity DROPPED by about 60% working from home. I do all kinds of crap instead of working. Granted Im in the office now and miscing so its not like Ive ever been putting in 100%.
But you know what? I still meet deadlines, my job is still secure and you can suck my fat D if you think Im ever going back to the office full time.
You know why? Because I make the same amount of money doing WAY less work and having WAY more time for myself.
