Women can be very receptive of weird nerdy hobbies. I always though it would turn them off but it doesn't, especially if you are passionate about them. I do high power rocketry and they always are super interested in it and love it when I talk nerdy about it. They usually don't care about my other, much more masculine hobby of riding dirtbikes.

They appreciate when a man is passionate about something other than video games.

Turning 45 this year and I am just starting to get into games with a friend I met at the gym. He and his wife are both really into it and have tons of games and regular game nights with different friend groups.

how is it any different than having a regular poker night or something along those lines?

Anyone who tries to bully someone out of a hobby is insecure or jealous.

Anyone who gets peer pressured out of a hobby "because of age," is a weak minded pucci.

Diablo 4 comes out tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. Same for FFXVI in a few weeks.

I've got coworkers and management, some with kids, who are all older than me, and they play video games and watch anime. Might be biased though because I'm in an IT sort of role.
