I do not care about Obama/Biden.

The problem with Trump is he doesn't care. Obama/Biden probably do want to get rid of assault weapons, but can't. Trump didn't even bother to try building the wall. In fact, Trump did the opposite. The border got worse under him than Obama.

Fewer Americans are attending Universities anymore. A college degree isn't worth as much as it used to be. Universities have been working hard to bring foreigners to their schools to fill class rooms.

When I lived in the town where the main campus of the University of Illinois is located that was a big thing for the University, bringing in as many foreigners to the school as possible.

I didn't read the article but I'm guessing the Universities will be paid one way or another.
