Lol tbh like 60% of my matches neither of us have even messaged eachother yet. Subtle brag but I have way too many matches to go through them I have like 600-700 (attractive) girls on there, it would take too much time. Of the 40% that either of us do message, I probably get left on read 20% of the time and 15% I leave them on read. That other 5% of the time are girls I really want to spend energy to take out and go on a date with (I actually like dates srs). So I’ll put more “game” into it and try to get their contact info / IG which I almost always do(if they don’t leave me on read) Then from there I can usually set up a date, and believe it or not I’m actually the one who flakes on them more lol but I have never been flaked on by a Hinge date once it’s set
There’s just way too much stimulus especially on a girls side. If you don’t catch their attention strongly and quickly whether it’s your looks or how you talk to them etc you’re likely going to be forgotten nearly immediately (even if you’re a real catch)
