this dude jesus came to earth said something about being the beginning and the end...they killed him...he rose from the dead and it's a historical fact. thousands of years later through all the advancement his name still evokes passionate responses of acceptance or denial. is what it is

Interesting thread for a bodybuilding forum. I can’t resist responding.
It’s 2023. It boggles the mind to realize that people are still denying that evolution is real? We can watch it happen in real time ffs. Search “evolution in real time” for examples.
That said, neither evolution in particular or science in general can explain the infinite or the infinitesimal. Everything and nothing are simply beyond the comprehension of our finite minds. You can fill that void with a god or whatever other self delusion makes you happy but don’t flatter yourself into believing that you might understand the mind of such a thing should it exist and please don’t throw out the baby with the bath water and reject good science along the way. Science makes no claim to have all the answers. Its is always open to accepting a new or better explanation if reason and evidence compel it to do so. This is what makes it such a key tool to help us find so many useful answers to so many important questions and problems (anyone you know caught a case of polio recently?). Religion is just science done poorly. It got tired of asking questions and not getting absolute answers so it stopped asking and just made stuff up and called it done.
Also, entropy is not inconsistent with local order. The universe may be on a path to cold dark emptiness but that does not preclude the possibility of complex and increasing order developing along the way. Look all around you for very good evidence of that reality and look to science if you want more details.

Our human condition restricts our ability to understand anything at all.
We do not perceive reality, and our technology is not capable of detecting it to any significant degree either. Our technology is limited to our imaginations/understandings so that makes sense.
There is literally no point for a human to even try to understand the universe.

Has it always been there? If so, how does that work? Where it came from? If it hasn’t always been there, then what does that mean? Nothingness makes no sense, so the universe having a beginning doesn’t work. The universe not having a beggining and always been there also doesn’t work, both are concepts that our minds can’t comprehend.
Space-size, does it have an end? If so what’s beyond? Nothing being beyond the universe makes no sense as well. Science says the universe is “expanding”, expanding into what exactly? Occupying what space? If there’s nothing beyond, how can you expand into it?
The universe being infinite and not having an end also doesn’t make sense. The mere concept of infinity in practice doesn’t make sense.
Maybe that’s why the simulation theory is gaining traction among world renowned scientists. Sometimes I honestly believe we are a simulation, a highly advanced game of SIMS, and I believe our own humanity will have the technology and power in hundreds of years to create a video game advanced enough that maybe people inside it will also think they are real.
I mean, Watch how video games have advanced in technology since the 70s. Compare the old 2d games with the crazy virtual 3D huge worlds we have now, that almost look like real life. Now imagine in 500 years the type of game or simulation that humans will be able to create? Then in a 1000 years?
That first black mirror episode made me think lol. If the universe is infinite In both time and space, we could very well be an advanced form of IA created by other beings that probably were created themselves too by beings before them. That also makes no sense tho since that would mean someone would have to be the first one which doesn’t answer how did they appear in the first place.
What I know is that humans aren’t meant to understand these concepts. We simply exist, but won’t ever be able to comprehend it. Perhaps because we aren’t part of the realm that actuallly existed and created us therefore we can’t understand it, just as Link from legend of Zelda for example won’t ever be able to understand our world or how does it work.

I used to be amazed how 'life" came from "non-life" and then realised that there is no difference between the two...
