The problem is that people are blaming the guy who bought stolen merchandise (which is to blame, because is wrong), but are treating the ones the stole it as victims.

A lot of blacks playing the victim card when they are not victims and in a lot of cases, they are not even descendants of slaves. In fact, a lot of them are decendants of the ones the enslaved them.

Except Black Americans aren't treating African slave traders as victims. That's the least of concern, the priority is where those slaves where shipped. Had it been Germany, Germany should get the blame. Same would go for UK, Switzerland, or whoever bought the slaves.

I didn't read his edited post.

I am not sure who taught history classes, I did not learn that in grade school. But it is now being brought up that Africans did indeed sell slaves. They do get blame, but they are least of concern being that Black Americans no longer live or even identify with Africa. The more important focus is where you and your family lives.

It was a massive business for Africans.

Europeans just bought the slaves. The Portuguese had a contract with the King of Nngola (I believe it is Kingdom of Ndongo in english) to buy slaves ONLY from him. At one point the Portuguese threatened they would stop buying their slaves and he literally implored the Portuguese to keep buying it. Africans were fully dependent on the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

After the emancipation proclamation a lot of black slaves kept working for their masters, obviously under new and different circumstances. They didn't want to leave and start a new life for themselves. Just sayin.

Also glad you agree the slaves should get credit, so we can throw that whole reparations thing out the window. I'm glad ☺️

If you are going to talk about that, you better do extensive research, analyze and memorize every possible argument for and against it, envision potential counter-arguments etc. You cant just stutter around the subject and say the worst possible thing that can be extremely misinterpreted and then dont be able to back it up lol

There were parts that were under-embellished. Not so sure about the over-embellished thing. I think she intended to say that there are parts which appear over-embellished within the context of the comparative nature of her statement, specifically, that other parts are under-embellished. It’s a nuanced point, but an easy “gotcha”. Her issue here isn’t that she is wrong, it’s that she failed to qualify her statements.

That said, I generally don’t watch her stuff, she tends to invite morons as guests, and clearly panders to men who often don’t have their chit together.
