Hardly, I have no interest in watching it. But you have been provided proof that Hollywood has been covering this topic since at least 1931, probably longer-so the sudden outrage is rather bizarre. I would get it if the scene was actually shot like that-but it wasn't. They shot his & her parts on different days-they were never in contact with each other & they had all kinds of psychologists, counselors etc on set for the kids in the film.

Far more worrying is that John Landis due to greed & arrogance killed two children he was having working illegally on set & a veteran actor for the Twilight Zone film & walked away from court a free man.

The arguments and social media uproar are probably exactly what the writer -- who apparently is a woman coming to terms with her own abusive experiences -- would want, putting bad stuff out in the open is how you confront it and address it rather than relegating it to the shadows and allowing the cycle to continue.

Hollywood should have never abandoned the Hays Code. Keeping morals in the movies (or at least making an effort FFS) should have been the top priority. Maybe they didn't understand how pliable the human brain was and how much feeding it sound and images of horrible acts would corrupt the population, but I think it is clear that it has.
