I don't know about that now, but a decade ago before brandons inflation you totally could. I remember buying a house for 200k making like 65k a year and easily having disposable income. The trick is to stay out of consumer and vehicle debt. I have been driving my 05' truck and 13' jeep for 9 years now... both totally paid off. I never worry about bills, and i keep an emergency fund handy for the repairs that come every so often on older vehicles. Its so freaking nice not having a payment in the world. I make 6 figures now and could easily buy a new truck or car if i wanted to like my peers (one dude i work with just bought a 66k dollar silverado fuking LMAO) but i have no desire to. I actually love seeing how many miles i can put on my older vehicles. Its like a badge of honor for me to not be a common pleb with an 800/month car note.

500 per month for eating out?
You're lowkey proving ops point. Billions of people on earth would consider that life as living like a king.
Roofs over their heads, plenty of food, there's even enough for unecesary entertainment and tech, and some left for savings on top of that.

Food there is the best. Whataburger, southern bbq, meat everywhere, publix, and waffle house. Sometimes the waffle house even has some in house entertainment the you can witness firsthand instead of waiting for it to appear on wshh
Sloots there are either southern belles, white trash trailer park types or shaniquas/consuelas.
But the southern belle types clean up real good. Dress nice, makeup, heels, summer dresses. Feminine. Compare that to shtholes like Portland or Toronto where they wear doc martens, bull dyke haircuts and liberal trash tattoos

A couple with a combined income of $60k can live like kings and have far more than minimum needed to survive.

Make a combined $60k a year.
Buy a $200k house outright.
Pick one.
This guy is delusional, then again he says he lives like a king on $20k a year.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

They constantly bail or don't agree to plans because they "dont have the money".........I honestly wonder on a weekly basis why we are still friends with them.
