Yea running was stupid and the kid seems like a POS, but even in my harder heart I can't justify a cop tasing a kid in the middle of an expressway in the dark of night and letting him get run over to death.

So do white people get free Jordan's?
Bodybuilding is a lifetime journey, anytime spent not bulking or cutting is a waste of time.

Fuark. Don't agree with the actions of the cop but don't think the cop should have to answer any charges and should actually be commended for taking action. Easy to watch a vid and be a hindsight genious but not as easy to be the man in the moment and analyze every possible outcome and instantly solve for best possible course of action. That is the business of a cop and the man handled it, dude going on a runner took a gamble with his life that didn't pay off.
We can't be letting criminals be thinking taking massive risks with their own welfare is a get away strategy because they are taking risks with everyone's welfare at the same time when they do that and society loses.

Was the driver an old person or distracted?
It looks like the cop shines his flashlight at the driver to get the person's attention to stop.
Maybe the driver was looking over at the cop's blinking lights where the original traffic stop took place. We all tend to rubberneck when a cop pulls someone over or a traffic accident takes place. We all look over like "What's going on over there?"

I'm sure the police officer and the driver of that car is going to have to deal with this the rest of their lives, but it's just something that happened because of the guy's decisions in life. Someone made a thread talking about luck yesterday and I'll just say, when you do what this guy did, you make yourself very unlucky.

Expired Registration (Traffic Offense, whatever)
False Info to a PO (Due to lying about his name)
Possibly being a prohibited person in possession on a firearm (Which is a felony offense if they have prior convictions for drugs and other stuff which are felonies in some cases)
Finally drugs or drug paraphernalia
Reading the twitter comments people are so ignorant as to how the law works

That's 100% manslaughter at a minimum. They had the guys info; either taser him once he crossed the road to the other side of the field or whatever, or let him go and get him later with the info you have on him. It's not like the cop was chasing El Chapo trying to escape or something.Cop had zero situational awareness though. By your logic, no one should ever accidentally hit a deer either, because they should be able to magically slam on their breaks and stop on a dime at highway speeds. If the car had slammed on their breaks, they'd have caused a pileup and more deaths.

I dunno, I think the driver had enough time to slow down and stop. He had enough time to blare the horn. Who uses their horn in that situation? He should've slammed on the brakes instead.
