Shariah Law is literally God’s law and doesn’t pander to anyone. Oblige or you disappear. Grow drugs and you get your head cut off. "banning" womens education is kind of a bit much (if that is even true to begin with) although I can understand why. the backbone of any society is a woman devoting most of her time teaching/educating/nurturing her children. I mean the formula of not having children, or waiting until your 30s when you have 5 degrees, going through "h0 phases", sticking children in daycare and public schools so they can learn filth and garbage certainly isn't a good prospect.

don't get me wrong though, Afghanistan is pretty screwed. They always have been since its inception because of how the west artificially drew its borders to separate tribes and peoples. There's probably a bunch to criticize the Taliban for but at the very least they seem anti-degen, have principles and don't bend the knee to American imperialism. They probably stick truer to their religion than Saudi Arabia who are in bed with Israel and America.
