Maybe that's how they want it. And maybe we peaked back in the 50s or whatever when society was more homogenous and you could make it onone person's salary.
On the bright side, Americans have a 35ish% rate of college graduation. Many more have "some higher education". That allows you to compete for the higher paying higher skill demanding jobs that first generation immigrants ussually cannot. It takes that 2nd generation to speak without an accent, get a degree and make the right moves in this country before they are actually competeting with established Americans. Thats unskilled labor though, imagine if they brought in skilled and educated labor from Europe/Asia/Canada at the same rate as illegal immigrants. We would all be fuked in one generation.
