A lot of people aren’t wearing it because of Covid. They like not being able to show their face and lack any sort of self confidence. If you read on social media when mandates were dropped a lot of people were freaking out because they would look out of place and don’t want to be the only ones wearing it. Any time there is talk of mandates coming back you see a lot of comments like “oh I don’t mind it helps me hide my acne!” The ones that are cheering it for Covid don’t leave their basement anyway. Even in the bluest cities I don’t see 12% wearing masks.

Not many here. Interestingly, the proportion seems very by time of day.

Really? You don't understand why people deserve to be mocked? How strange and unexpected.

Some people may have conditions that make then want to wear a mask. I still see an elderly and obviously preexisting condition types wearing them occasionally.

That's their choice.. its none of my business.

Sorry, you don't get to Reeeeeee at those who didn't wear one, and then have the mindset of, "Why do you care what other people do?"

Please show me where I reeeeee-ed at people wearing masks.

I always said it was a personal choice / between a patient and doctor for people with a medical condition.

That's very different from mandating everyone wear one.

Gotta be 12% who say them sometimes wear masks, not regularly. I see maybe 2-5% at any given time. The state here now has required parents bringing their kids into a daycare to wear them so I go ahead and wear one for less than 5 minutes a few times a week while bringing in my 1 yr old to a local daycare. Other than a random 85 yr old or random store worker I never see them in public settings.

That makes no sense, you're around your child all the time, but "you" have to wear one, when dropping your child off at daycare???

It doesn't need to make sense to be a thing. The former health director of our state is now the CDC director so surely she left behind a culture of panic and virtue signaling in her wake. I'm willing to wear a mask for a minute or two now because the daycare is walking distance from my house and the woman has vacancies once a year. The daycare one of my other kids goes to - no fuks given, not a mask in site.

It's just hilarious that people can't even explain the measures they put in place. Restaurants letting their patrons not wear one while sitting, but standing up you had to put it on? If you were vaccinated you could ditch the mask, but not if you were unvaccinated?

If you didn't get the jab, they tried to have you fired and live worse than a second class citizen, without explaining why.

When restaurants first opened back up in 2020 I remember some busybodies telling me to put my mask back on while walking to the restroom. Lolz. Sure thing. Why don't you follow me into the restroom to make sure I don't take it off until I'm back in the magical sitting position at my table. Besides I could use a hand in the bathroom, the doc says I shouldn't lift anything heavy.
