Espresso machine or bust.
Use espresso machine every day. Don't remember the last time I made drip coffee.

The best I had was this place on 30th and Morgan, in Chicago. They have that one machine that's like 5-10 grand. Unfortunately the drive is too far.

Never had coffee or espresso in Italy though.

Didn't matter where you went it was good. Even if you go to an Italian grocery store, and buy the store-brand pre-ground espresso, it's so fuarkin good LOL. I brought a bag home as a novelty thing and it was the best home espresso I've made lollllll. Literally $2.50/bag

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

the biggest cappuccino in Italy is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the SMALLEST cappuccino in starbucks. Not even joking. They basically give you a dixie cup of milk/coffee. At first I was like 'wtf is this' but after a day I was more surprised at how huge starbucks drinks are.

Loved the smell of coffee way before I cared for the taste of it.
One of my favorite memories is still riding between grandma and grandpa in the cab of their old International truck with an aluminum coffee thermos and the smell of Folger's.

I tell my kids, nephews, anyone loving sodas whether your fat, fit, skinny, whatever shape you’re in just do diet. It tastes the same imo and not loaded up with empty calories.
One nephew told me “I don’t need a diet I’m not fat!” I tried explaining to him . Anyone who drinks sodas should choose diet ones.

That coffee was absolutely delicious, but I cannot replicate the taste. I couldn't wait for the coffee after dinner when we would go over to her house. It's just one of those unexplainable things that your grandmparents did that was just better than you could ever do for some reason

Italian Coffee Culture – a guide to drinking coffee in Italy
https://thetravelbunny.com/italian-coffee-culture/
You’ll get a few odd looks from the locals if you order a Cappuccino or milky coffee after 11 a.m. or after a meal. A milky drink on a full stomach is most definitely frowned upon. If you must order a Cappuccino after your meal, at least have the decency to look embarrassed…
When drinking your coffee in Italy, if you’re a local, it’s unusual to sit at a table (al tavolo) unless you’re in a tourist area where it’s accepted. However, if you want to take your time and indulge in a bit of people watching whilst sipping your Macchiato you’ll be charged accordingly and will pay lat least a few euros more than if you stand at al banca.
I feel like I'd be like Paulie Walnuts in Sopranos.
