sad part is when the relationship inevitably doesn't work out is she going to regret not listening to her dad?

That is if she makes it out still normal/alive because you never know these days. Worst case shes dead or deformed from a beating, best case she just wasted years of her life, marked herself as damaged goods, and is left a single mom.

Well, it obviously bothered the cop that his daughter is dating him, which means he failed to raise her. I'm responding based on his actions. The failure here is that the father wanted her not to date black guys, but failed in that regard. I don't know if Tyrone was a criminal, but I do know men like the girl's father. Their teaching methods are odd and rarely ever work. It's like those Pentecostal/Adventist parents who teach their kids to stay away from the world, except they don't really teach them as much as try to enforce it through physical discipline and the "because I said so" mentality. The moment the kids grow up and leave the household, they usually end up degenmaxxing.

Even good parents can have children grow up to be gutter trash, and the guy needs to accept that. Hopefully he has other kids that turn out better. Easier to just cut the failure child out of his life, as cold as it sounds.
