Anthony Robins advice for people was to do door to door sales. I got hired for a security system sales company doing door to door sales. All the salesmen were young, good looking and charming. We made tons of money. About 1000 dollars per sale. I would make 5 sales in a weekend to put it in perspective. It was a fun job. I was one of the few people in my crew that always had a home base. I always had people take care of me. Mainly because of halo effect.
You are your thoughts. Life is perception, thoughts are perception, perception is reality ergo thoughts are reality, I think therefore I am.

Doing B2B and B2C sales made me bulletproof so when I'm selling for my businesses now (selling myself as a service) it's like fish in a barrel. My colleagues were always astounded that my close rate was like 90% when some of them struggled to break 50.
You also learn valuable things like prospecting, not wasting your time and being able to just have conversations easily with random people is so good for other things in life like dating. My girlfriend constantly is amazed that I can walk into a party knowing nobody and get to know people in five minutes.

I started off B2B selling building materials, now I'm trying to build a side business basically selling my subs to build backyards. I sell the project and add my margin to it.
Easy money.

Sales is all about lying and this thead is proof.
100% the salesbrahs here make good money but everyone who posted how much they make over inflated by $10k to $30k.
All these claims have 0 proof and can easily be proven.
Yet another easy fraud to bust.

its not always about the smoothest talker or the best looking guy.
Many times, its the guy who is sort of an ******* who does the best.
Saw that a lot in car sales. Always mystified me who that one guy could ever sell one car much less a bunch of them. Couldnt stand to be around him for 5 minutes.
Not always the case but it is interesting.

Sales is an arms race. If you don't have sales people, you will lose to competitors who do.

It’s not as simple as a good pitch. The individual(s) on the other end of the transaction has to feel comfortable with the salesperson; they have to “like” the salesperson. And, obviously, that’s a whole other conversation to be had in how much is actually in control for the salesperson to work on/do.
90% of the time, it isn’t the pitch itself.
