Was in undergrad during this era. It was nice that you could pretty easily be some anonymous person and kinda do your own thing if you wanted.

People are way more connected today though, which also has its benefits. Way more opportunities to do things now just via being more connected to random people. Undoubbtedly females are much more selfish and worse nowadays though.

I had too much fun in college. We found a liquor store and a bar in town that wouldn't check IDs and get fukked up. We'd go down to csu in fort Collins Colorado too and just walk into random house parties. Nobody ever cared and the chicks were hot. Good times.

Yeah. I had a phone that could text, make calls, AND store music so I didn't need an mp3 player. I thought that was pretty bad ass. I guess I could go online with it too but not like the smart phones we have today

great times...didn't see everybody everywhere glued to phones...especially not people like 30+ at the time. pretty common for people to just have a flip phone some with a keyboard for texting

2000-2005 still felt like an extension of the late 90s

2006-2008 had their own unique feeling

The height of Nextel was peak living. So late 90's till about 2005...is my idea of peak anyway. Just completely different social behavior in society. House parties were filled with girls who would bring their tag along girlfriends and they were literally just their to get hit on. It was GOAT if you were confident and could cold talk girls.

Phones never came out unless you were two-waying someone or calling someone. That was it. Or MAYBE a quick text that took way too long to type...something like "Bro get here now she is hot."

When you met a new girl you didn't think about texting her...it was all about running home after a party once you had her AIM and waiting for that sweet sweet sound of the door to open when she signed on.
