the idiot leftist response to "gun violence" has been to punish law abiding citizens.
When they send the ATF around to "just checking in" on people its for stupid chit like some cosmetic part they may have bought. I dont see the ATF in the ghettos where all the gun deaths are trying to do anything about illegal guns.
Its basically an excuse to reduce your rights and shift the balance of power between state and the peasant serfs, formally known as the middle class.

I wonder how those kids were raised. Its already illegal for 15-16 year old's to carry. As adults, follow the law and don't be a idiot, same way kids should be raised.
I will always support the 2nd Amendment.

Straight tax, if your kid died from gun violence would you change your position?
This happened yesterday in my city where it was just before 5 PM in downtown and apparently one 15 year old and one 16 year saw each other from across the road and had a shootout with one another. They shot across 4 lanes of traffic at a time when people were getting off work or about to. One died and the other didn't.
Turning 2x their age this Thursday and it feels like such a damn waste. One dead and another going to go away for life, and for what? I got muh gunz. In countries where guns aren't glorified or viewed as a right of being a citizen and solving your problems meant a one on one fight face to face I'd like to think that both wouldn't have had their lives ruined.
Now before y'all freak the fuk out. What about you fathers of the Misc or regular schmo's. What if you had taken your kid or parent out to the movies (basically where this happened, there's an ice cream shop and SB next to where this happened) and a stray bullet caught and killed them? Reported more than 15-20 shots in succession.
Macho BS aside and the ****z who think CCW is a magic shield - the more you go out in public can you say you feel safer today than you did 5-10 years ago?

There was a time 20 years ago when i thought restricting sales would benefit society; then after the **school shootings** i realized that no one really cared.
That realization was tough to swallow, but at that moment...... i realized that you better join in because there is no turning back.
So i am all for them.

The closest to the US would be Europe, but their social media climate is vastly different
The European social media culture is quite a bit more focused on actually connecting with people you know, while American social media culture is primarily focused around promoting yourself and your ideals and with the whole "Freedom of Speech" thing being a huge issue, Americans tend to be much more aggressive online than their European counterparts. America also has a very volatile socioeconomic climate that has caused the general population to compete with their counterparts as opposed to actually connecting with them.

Not denying social media and mental health isn't playing a large role, it certainly is. However the ease of access to guns is far and away the largest factor.
Best argument for NOT banning all guns is those who give up freedom for safety end up with neither.

Don't know. I know in that case that neither individual could have obtained a firearm legally, so I don't know what law could have prevented that tragedy.
I mean, there are millions of guns in this country. You'd have to make an effort to find and eradicate all of them, and criminals would end up being the only ones with them. Not to mention the right to bear arms is a constitutional right.
I think the best case scenario is harsher punishments for murder, and an actual effort by parents, society, the government, whoever, to bring up kids that DON'T want to blow each other's faces off. Thing is, that would take making some very uncomfortable and unpopular decisions, and unpopular decisions lose votes.

Pretty awful comparison tbh.
The mental gymnastics it takes to not blame guns for gun violence is hilarious. I'm pro 2a cause I'm pro freedom, but in not an illogical retard.
Also there were less than 2k people killed annually by suicide bombs worldwide
https://reliefweb.int/report/world/a...ared-2020-aoav
That's like 4% of the gun murder victims in just the USA. Lol.

No I would not change my tune because I am not an emotional child. The actual people in charge do not care at all about the kids. It is communism 101. The thing you need to do to truly enact it is to take away the guns. That is all it is about.

Here's the bottom line question:
What makes you think that taking guns away from law-abiding citizens is going to stop law-breaking criminals from breaking the law?

Just look at the homicide rates between demographics within this country. If guns were truly the problem, firearm homicide rates would be nearly identical across demographics, but they're not even CLOSE.
It's a cultural issue. Not an inanimate object issue.
