Bible belt is exactly like you said, I hated it. Have to drive everywhere, it's pretty much only good for raising families. The cities suck. Lived downtown Dallas for a year, terrible. Lot of dingers and mexicans looking like $30k millionaires, very trashy.
Cali/Seattle I'm not sure, weather is probably nice but crime is terrible there and cost of living is crazy high.
Northeast is the only feasible option for me.. despite there being dingers in NYC, there's so many people around that the city is still pretty safe. Not many in Boston and it's pretty safe over there.
Practically, I might go back to Chicago if things ever normalize, but I just don't know. NYC is too expensive and the quality of life is a fair bit lower. Maybe if I wife a girl that brings in comparable income and we break the $300k+ bracket the city will be much cheaper.
Europe is completely cucked, but would be nice to live there for a couple years.

You should look into DC if you're willing to try Boston. I feel like DC has milder weather and is slightly more affordable than Boston. I wouldn't live in DC proper, but the suburbs in Virginia, like McLean/Arlington, have enough going on and it'll always have an influx of young/single people since politics is the town. Downside though is it's political.
If cost, density, and cold weather is what you want, Philly is probably ideal outside of NYC. It's more blue collar and ghetto though from what I've seen/heard - like a trashy version of blue collar instead of the hardworking, good ol' Americana vibes of Chicago. But yeah, overall, I love visiting NYC, but think it's super overrated to live in
