The only time I'd do that at my old commercial gym was when squatting. I'd take my shoes off, put them off to the side, do my squats, put my shoes back on, and move on. Socks on, obviously.

Well the arch on my feet are very small, that I'm practically flat footed. Over the years I noticed I have issues with compound movements and such without the support. It's a night and day difference when I workout with flat shoes and custom insoles, then when I train without them. The engagement in the muscles in my legs is WAY better, and it doesn't hurt my joints. I recommend anyone who has joint pain when doing legs to go see a podiatrist and get prescription insoles. I just ordered the Nike Metcon 9 and Nike Free Metcon 5. Got a good deal on the 9s in Green and always wanted green shoes. Hopefully they don’t disappoint.

I got puma vizier runners

They’re only 40$, they’re extremely comfortable and look hella aesthetic but the problem is?

The material on the outside doesn’t hold up very well. Even with shoe spray, they tend to start looking a bit degraded.

Now the very real truth is that even tho they have this slightly degraded look after a little while, they still hold up well.

So even tho this starts in after a few months, they still look decent and hold up to the durability test. Water resistant, motorcycle riding and more.

They just lose that super sleek look that they have straight out of the box. And despite holding up, they just look noticeably different.

All told tho for just under the 50$ price tag with taxes included. There really isn’t a much better shoe for the price point in my opinion.

I’ve had three pairs of these in a row because they’re cheap, I’m still intermediary in the Sandusky basement and can’t pass up a bargain. I had under armor shoes too but when my car ended up getting towed?

I lost those and Jordan’s I had…

So now these are all I got…

Dunno how things are unfolding yet.

Keep in mind that in the old school wilt chamberlain days, they wore chucks in the NBA.

Wilt is a legend.

Won't buy any other shoes than this brand. Small business and the shoes are made with much higher quality than any nike or adidas shoe I have ever worn.

Best athletic shoes hands down and they look awesome too.

Reebok Lifter II PR's for leg day and Nike Pegasus most other days and Under Armour shoes sometimes. The Lifter II's are too narrow for my wide feet though so I was thinking of getting some Do-Win squat shoes.

Of course man. I try to tell people but no one listens to me and they buy new balance or nike/adidas shoes with 2in foam and constantly hate their shoes or buy new ones.

The more you wear them the more comfortable they get to a point where you can wear them all day standing on your feet and they would never bother you.

"The henry" style shoe is extremely lightweight and another amazing shoe too.

I lift in old school chuck taylors without the padding. I don’t squat much, but for deads I can get up to 265 3x10 sldl, and low rep work with the deadlift bar I get into the low 500’s. Foot was sore first few workouts but nothing since.

I also box a few times per week in some old basketball shoes.

Pics for reps
I am using a barefoot shoe, Hykes Escapes and love how they feel, I usually squat 405 and was going barefoot but then starting using the shoes and huge difference, had to get used to them at first but at the moment they are my go to gym shoes.

Anything with rubber bottoms that do not bounce or contort your foot, something like Adidas Sambas, works.

I have been looking for Reebok for something to run and lift in. Idk where you even buy Reebok anymore. Their stores are all closing.

I wear Nike Romaleos 4 for squatting (poor ankle mobility) and metcons for everything else. I tried treadmill in the metcons and my calves and shins were on fire. I might need a dedicated running shoe.
