Look for gyms that cater to bodybuilding crowds and/or fitness sloots because both love those things. But if you're looking for 7k for it, you're dreaming. They retail new for 7k so I don't know why you paid 12 for it. Expect more like 3-4k.

It was Covid. They were shutting the gyms down. And I wasn’t going to let that stop me.
Now I’d rather just build out my arsenal (which is already big if you gnome saiyan bby).

Sheeeiiiiittttttt OP 8k sounds like a fair price.
I mean based on what you said you can definitely ask for 6k.
I dunno why any miscers in here are arguing about you selling it for 4k like wtf?
I mean you're not even trying to get top dollar you just want it moved so your 2k asking price is totally fine.
Anyway as I was saying I'll give you about tree-fiddy for it.

Serious response for OP:
I'm pretty good friends with the owner of the gym I go to. We chat almost daily about equipment he is eyeing (to purchase), how he decides on what he wants and how much he will spend on it, etc.
I think your best bet to not get bent-the-fukk-over will be to advertise it in many different places (CL, FB, Ebay, etc.)and alsoreach out to some gym-equipment vendors. Not "Matrix" (though they probably do have a used-buy-back system, tbh.) but vendors that gyms use to purchase equipment. There are companies that literally just buy up gym equipment (of all types) when they find a decent-ish deal on it, and store it away waiting for someone (usually a gym) to be looking for a specific piece, then they sell it to them. Like a middle-man with a warehouse, basically.
A gym (and by extension these vendors) will see the most value in a high-quality piece of equipment because they intend to keep it long-term, need it to be reliable, etc.
Your average Joe on FB marketplace is gonna try to get it as cheap as possible because regardless of how good yours is, how little it was used, etc., they just see it as being basically the same thing as theotherstairmaster that is currently advertised for '$1750 with just one or two cat-piss marks on a few of the steps.'

I may end up just keeping it. Would be sad to see it go in some ways. Right now my average workout is probably $35 on the thing lol
