It's classic divide and conquer nonsense. They're trying to re-ignite the Muslim vs. West chitstorm of 2015 (and before if you count the GWOT fearmongering).

A strategy I'd like to see is reducing focus on criticism of the migrants and more focus on the root problem, combating MIC endeavors that result in mass refugees/migration and stronger pushes for secure borders. Anti-war conservatives are finally starting to use this angle which, if anything, is the biggest form of Muslim sympathy and advocacy. They're literally begging their governments to stop bombing Islamic/Arab nations so that they can live there in peace and in their own culture.

He condemns that too. What don't you get about this? But scale matters here. Israel has already murdered far more. One must also consider the injustice and oppression of Palestinians by Israel. I have seen this compared to the Nat Turner Rebellion, which was also brutal and horrific. At the time, the perpetrators were rightly demonized. However, criticism and self reflection of the system that produced this only came much later, in the aftermath of the civil war.

Israel has a right to defend its citizens, yes. But Israel itself is perpetrating what amounts to a genocide and is acting as an apartheid state. Israel must reflect on the system it has created and commit to building a new one that ensures a future, rights, and peace for Palestinians. It falls on the wealthy oppressor to fix this issue, not the oppressed.

And shame on America for again blindly sucking Israel off and not demanding they find a better way. It was hysterical watching Kirby today argue we care about civs while insisting we would continue to arm Israel while having no responsibility for what they do with our aid. As if Israel fuking calls the shots. Biden is a fking coward. And Trump was no better on this. Our country lacks the balls to make real demands even when we supposedly run the fuking show. We could have forced a peace agreement long ago if we put our foot down. The simple truth is our elite mostly do not give a fuk about Palestinians and have loyalties and interests more in line with wiping out Palestinians than helping them.

Historians will remember our last 3 decades as the fall of American power and a shameful display of unprincipled and incompetent self service and poor vision for the future of humanity and this planet. Our war on terror created more terrorists. Our wars in the name of spreading democracy have produced a democratic backslide globally. Everything the US foreign policy establishment under people like Nuland, Bolton, etc does turns to chit. And we refuse to demand better. This is OUR fault in the end. We were the only ones who had the power to save this world from a third world war, but we continue to rapidly race toward one because of our fellow uneducated hedonistic self absorbed swine we call citizens. Our press has lost its freedom and teeth. Our people have lost their balls. Our men are now selfish, vain, cowards. And as we squabble among ourselves, our world will burn due to our negligence. And everything greater men than you or I fought for and died for will be lost for nothing.

What happens when you view geopolitics as a fking game of Risk and commit to childish Machiavellianism? War. Brutal, devastating, world war. And that's where we are fking going.

No they all don’t you are ignorant and wrong. There are many great Muslims who do not want me killed. I worked in a restaurant run by a Lebanese family and a Moroccan chef who were all devout but very nice. Actually gave me tons of gifts when I left was my first sous chef job.

My soccer coach in high school, my mom’s adopted afghan “daughter”. All regular wonderful people.

First let’s proceed the context

1. A declaration of immunity from God and His Messenger to the polytheists with whom you had made a treaty.
2. So travel the land for four months, and know that you cannot escape God, and that God will disgrace the disbelievers.
3. And a proclamation from God and His Messenger to the people on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage, that God has disowned the polytheists, and so did His Messenger. If you repent, it will be better for you. But if you turn away, know that you cannot escape God. And announce to those who disbelieve a painful punishment.
4. Except for those among the polytheists with whom you had made a treaty, and did not violate any of its terms, nor aided anyone against you. So fulfill the treaty with them to the end of its term. God loves the righteous.
5. When the Sacred Months have passed, kill the polytheists wherever you find them. And capture them, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every ambush. But if they repent, and perform the prayers, and pay the alms, then let them go their way. God is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
