2 quick videos worth watching from journalists who were in the court housing when he was sentenced. He is supposed to have another trial beginning on March 11, which is before his March 28 sentencing for these convictions. His March 11 trial is for 5 other charges including bribery charges with China, as well as the campaign violation charges for donating ~$100 million to politicians. Those 5 charges were severed into a 2nd trial at the request of the Bahamian government because they were not in the original bill of charges SDNY used for their extradition request from the Bahamas.

Now, they are saying they may not even have the second trial, but if you watch the 2nd video from Inner City Press, he says that during this trial, it became evident that the Bahamian government was bribed by SBF and that's why they requested the extra 5 charges to be dropped, and SDNY should not drop them, especially since they include campaign violation charges.

Those other charges Re political donations and bribes were postponed so they had time to suicide him in jail first.
