Francis vs a known fighter is big money right now.

Like latverian already mentioned none of the legit boxing governing bodies touch these fights, but Saudis have fukk you money and are a sovereign nation so they can basically throw cash at anyone and have them fight.

Fury didn’t take the fight serious. He came in lazy, with some lies about a full camp thinking he’d steamroll Francis. Francis is an elite genetic specimen with experience at the highest levels of MMA so he surprised fat Fury especially the knockdown.

Fury defaulted to technical boxing and outboxed Francis for the rest of the fight. Many had emotional responses to Francis being more willing to throw power shots, but he landed at the same rate or similar to Fury on those while Fury landed much more clean on jabs and crosses, avoiding Francis, etc. Boxing is scored unless you get a KO and Fury simply had more points.

Back to the topic Anthony Joshua has shown interest, but he isn’t as big of a draw as someone like Wilder. Wilder might do it for the mega money since he can’t actually beat Fury at this point of his career. Usyk is the biggest loser in all of this since Fury will likely breach their contract and just pay a fine. Usyk deserves a shot against Fury, but he wouldn’t take one against Francis because Francis has no place fighting champions since he hasn’t earned it yet.
