Absolutely. I paid less taxes, no new wars, refinanced my mortgage under 3%, and gas got down under $2. I remember one time at the lowest gas prices, I paid under $1 a gallon with my $1 off gas rewards.

It was very important to see what could be. Had Hillary been elected we'd be numb to all the higher prices and chit economy after Obama and continuing into Biden.

Imagine hating Trump so much you'd rather see see the country and society collapse than see him elected and bring the country back.

That's pure evil.

My reply was to a couple posters in this thread.

OT, without Trump, the country would have been 4 years further down the road to serfdom and far less people would have been aware it was happening.

It's been going on since the 1940s, but it was accelerated in the 70, and went in to hyperdrive in 2012

Well, I think that Trump has proven himself a talented businessman. As a politician his record of winning is lousy. At this point I'd prefer that he retired from politics, take care of his family, rededicate himself to his business ventures. That doesn't appear to be happening though. Hope if Trump does receive the nod to be the next GOP candidate once again that he and other GOP candidates he endorses do better this go around with voters. Hope this time is different basically.

I think you are conflating a hypothetical with reality. The thing about society is that it is mostly unpredictable. What we know is that a society, and an economy, are very reactionary. One change could redirect the path completely.

So either you're using a hypothetical as your talking point, or you claim to be some divine all knowing authority. Hillary having gotten elected, would've most definitely changed the projection of the country/government, and would have meant society itself was different than it is.

Edit; keep in mind, if Trump would not have run, another republican would've been on the primary, potentially having been elected as well. You make the assumption that no republican could've beat Hillary, and that may be the case, but we don't know because it didn't happen.

That bot doesn't care. It ranted for years about russians stealing an election and the second a groomer got into the white house it did a complete 180 on whether its' even possible to steal an election.

Once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it and it was a paradigm shift. I started to pay more attention to things that were actually said and had actually happened and saw that it was usually in stark contrast to what the likes of CNN, BBC, Sky, Reuters etc would report.

It was good, it allowed people to speak their minds and remove the illusion of "united", civility, and let people show how they really are.

That’s the key to free speech. No one has to hide, and the bad ideas can be identified and called out. The Obama admin started the mass assault on the internet. The federal government had a lot of trouble controlling the information on the internet, and opened the door for a lot of independent journalists and access to a ton of info. Hence the reason why the Obama admin began passing and pushing for complete control over the internet. He then repealed the law preventing the government from using propaganda on American citizens, which allowed the FBI and agencies to spread disinformation.

When the Obama admin and agencies saw that FB and Twitter were being used for a massive amount of information, they jumped to control it, creating more state media. Few understand the full scale of what happened though. Instead of having one state media outlet and preventing other outlets, they instead PAID and coerced media outlets to fall in line with the central government’s narrative, giving the illusion of choice and freedom of speech.

Once Elon took over twitter and he refused to let it be state sponsored and coerced media, the new narrative became Elon Musk is evil.

For me, Trump took all the anti establishment anger and energy and pretty much wasted all of it. Things were reaching a boiling point before Trump, he was kind of the release valve but didn't actually do anything

Trump saved us from Hillary vs Jeb(!), which whatever else he is or isn't and what problems he has -- for that alone, he saved the country from at least one disaster.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

That just means it was going to happen eventually anyway.

Hell, Benny even admitted it...

For all his flaws, the alternative was much, much worse

We were saved from a horrendous alternative. A hard left legal system in charge of the country. Merrick Garland, remember Obama called him a moderate when he is clearly a hard left cnut would likely have been on the supreme court
