My Audi would destroy any Tesla except the plaid. I'll keep up with even that to the 60' but it will walk me steadily after that. But I also paid probably 1/5 of the price.

Good car OP, it doesn't make sense to go over that car budget wise unless you really want to impress more dudes at the car show. But I would check the reliability reports of it

Yes, my DCT has insanely fast shifts. Easy to see why manuals are mostly phased out (last one I had was the Porsche, but those are all now PDK).

Had a fun story from yesterday with my S4. Was driving down a two lane road about a 1/2 mile from the highway on ramp. Big jacked up turbo diesel truck is next to me at the light. I take off normal as does he (I am completely oblivious that he is going to attempt to race me). Going about 40-45 mph, I hear him floor it and he jumps forward maybe two car lengths. I just pressed the throttle and blew past him probably 10 car lengths in a second or so then let off it. He purposely stayed back after that. Too funny.

I rarely engage, but this was an open area, no cars, no potential dangers and I let off within probably 2 seconds of WOT. Just fun to surprise people sometimes. No my car is not stock, but none of mine ever are. Destroyed a Panamera Turbo S before that thought he could cut me off after a light, his preppy self looked so defeated when his new Porsche got spanked by "lesser car". The girl in the car with me loved it though.
