Competing brought my training and urgency to a whole new level, therefore pushed my desire for knowledge.
And if there's one common theme, as mentioned, it's to keep it simple and consistant. The problem is that 99% of the population is so "oooohh shiny", they can't stay focused or consistant.

I think for most people, just doing the basic chit in the gym and eating healthy will give results to be proud of...
most of the people I've seen in the gym do normal exercises, most of the people doing weird unique chit look like chit

It was the day I learned that when you have the lower body and you have no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper...you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body... No, you don't understand. You have the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up- legs on the bottom, it is easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah

I do, however, highly recommend setting some sort of goal; goals give you motivation. Whether it's to add 10 lbs to your bench, lose 20lbs, gain 10lbs, add 20 lbs to your skwat, hammer curl the 50's for reps...anything...just set a goal. Make it achievable, but set it. When you have a purpose, you enter the gym to train; when you don't, you're just working out...big difference.

Bench press is inferior to weighted pushups, Deadlift is truly an ego lift. Whey Protein is the best protein source, Training lighter is way better for longevity. Hard cardio is necessary in order to actually be considered fit. Training to look good in a mirror isn't sustainable, you actually need to train for a purpose, like a sport. NEVER take advice from someone on steroids or any IG fitness model.
