i have an AMEX gold, and idk if girls really care but i have had random cashiers comment on it, even while i've been on dates. the card is shiny and aesthetic and heavy, so it looks cool.

i got the gold instead of the platinum because i don't spend nearly enough on travel/hotels to justify it. meanwhile the gold gives me 4x points on groceries and dining which is where i spend most of my money.

Honestly, if there's like more than 5k from family, I wouldn't classify anybody as a mogger

It's way harder to start from 0 while paying expenses and get to like 20k

Then it is for someone to get 10k from somewhere and parlay that into more

If you get 10k liquid cash it could easily open lots of doors - like loans and chit

Seriously.. by far, the hardest part is getting to those amounts

Platinum would be the only Amex I'd consider, but if it attracts women, I actually wouldn't get it.

Best card for me has been the capital one venture x so I stick with that. I have had comments about it being a nice hunk of metal. I hate cheap plastic cards.

Interesting thread. It seems like it would be an incredibly rare for anyone to even notice these days considering you basically use tap pretty much everywhere. Maybe if you were to hand it to a sloot bartender to pay a tab you could get some play.

When I was in Europe, only certain countries or shops accept AMEX.

Mixed bag. Poorer Euro countries like Romania and Poland, very hard to find one that accepts it.

Girls like it or stares at it cuz it is unique compared to VISA AND MC. And it always had that reputation that it is harder to get.
