Without a doubt, nice weather is much better than living in gloomy cold winter nonsense. There's nobody who will dispute this seriously, unless they're some type of video gamer or other loser type.

But something is off about California right now. Just the vibes aren't great there right now. Too many degenerates, not much excitement. People aren't super friendly like they used to be.

My buddy moved there about 6 months ago from NYC, and he didn't admit it but I could tell it was already impacting him. In NYC he was this happy go lucky guy who constantly banged a ton of girls and was a 10/10 host whenever I came to town, and in California he was very mellow and barely even wanted to hang out that much. I can tell he lowkey doesn't like it that much there.

ive experienced the worst.working all day in the windy snow on the farm.doing tear off roofs in summer in Highland Park.both sucks but at least i can move in the heat.matter of preference i guess.one things for sure,nobody can say IL dont have all the best and worst of seasons.i love IL.but i think i hate the cold more sometimes.you ever been out to rural west IL?i know you can probably handle it but i dont think most people can.

Yea I've been to rural west and northwest IL. The swedish part of my family (extended family) lives in MN and I've been there. I love it, but yea it is much more brutal. The openness makes it way worse. So I love the cold, but obviously prefer being around slightly more populated areas lol. Much more enjoyable.

I used to love the summer as a kid, but now I am a grinch in the summer. The cold I can bundle up. I just love the atmosphere of it all. Summer heat is just brutal to me. Idk why.

The politics and liberalism are annoying in terms of finding a life partner as most in this area are EXTREMELY liberal, aka progressive, when you get to that point in life.

I don't really see too many homeless in my area, although they are starting to creep in. I was asked for money in my neighborhood for the first time in 25 years a few weeks ago! I almost fainted.

The climate and places like Carmel, Santa Barbara, Tahoe, Yosemite, Half Moon Bay, Napa, San Diego, I could go on and on, are hard to leave.
