i dont like ubereats nearly as much as doordash. have way more problems with uber eats. i'd say its ok like 75% of the time

uber eats takes longer, uber eats the only one that's delivered to the wrong place, the only one that's called about where the place is multiple times, etc.

have had wayyyyy more deliveries with doordash and ubereats has had more problems cumulatively

Interdasting. You must live in an apartment complex. I think Uber fuks up the location on the map in them, Doordash software must not. When I lived in an apartment years ago and took a few Uber rides the drivers had a hard time finding the building I lived in.

Yet, I've had drivers drop off the food at a different unit in the complex, drivers leave the food at apartment complexes, different apartment complexes, four doors down and just take off.


It's like they think they can just leave food in the general area and it's all ok. Sure, it's fine to just leave food within a 500 meter radius of the front door. Hey, at least it was within the area. What could possibly go wrong?



Honestly astounds me how people are struggling to deliver food in this day and age of smartphones which tell you literally where to go. How in the fhuck would they survive back in the days of paper street directories?

I only order UberEats from restaurants that have their own delivery rider on standby, for everything else i order via grubhub. UberEats is not reliable and also has higher prices for same stuff.
but these days working from home, i just drive to pick up sometimes as it becomes an outing.

Never used those chit tier services and never will. Getting cold mushy food that tastes like wet cardboard , and has probably been spit in, then being expected to pay a tip on top of whatever fee for using that service.

I think there are a lot of factors
.
How much you tip is probably the biggest factor.Is your house located in a restaurant desert?
If your house is in a restaurant desert then the driver will have to double his milage to drive back to a location that has many restaurants. Do you live in NASA Headquarters? No smart driver will deliver there.
Does the restaurant you ordered from make drivers wait forever before giving them the food? Drivers will cancel if the restaurant makes them wait too long.
A lot of drivers have multiple apps running so if your order pays them $8 for 6 miles and then they get an order for on doordash or grubhub for $20 for 5 miles, they will cancel your order and do the other one instead. If they cancel too many orders, they will get fired, but they're allowed to cancel a certain percentage of orders.
If a competing offer comes in that's too good to pass up, they will cancel your low ball offer and go for the golden offer.
You have to realize that when you order, you're placing a bid against other competitors who also ordered food.
The customer with the best location and dollars to mileage ratio will win.
The losers will get cold food or their order canceled.

People who order should use Waze Garmin, Google maps, Apple maps, etc to see if their location is right on all of them.
If it's not then your location is the problem not the driver.
You have to text the driver telling them which navigation app to use and or simple and detailed instructions if you don't want cold food or your order canceled.

Have you tested your location using Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Garmin, TomTom, Magellan. and all other options or are you a mind reader that knows what the driver is using for navigation?
