Doesn't make sense. You're right. Just like it didn't make sense that because of having darker skin a natural born American was worth 3/5ths of a lighter skinned man. It didn't make sense that a light skinned man could get a mortgage while a man with the same financials, same job, same everything, would be denied because of his darker skin.

Life has never been fair.
