Pretty difficult for me to get deep into a game these days. Off the top of my head these are the ones that stick out over the past 10 years.

Bloodborne
Dark Souls 3
Last of Us 1 & 2
Uncharted Series
Days Gone
Diablo 2 Resurrected
World of Warcraft
God of War

Most of these games are older. Newer games just aren't that engaging anymore IMO.

You wrote Fallout 76 with a straight face?? The last really good game that came out was RDR2. I switched to PC gaming back in 2020 only for all games to suck and even more recently they got rid of CSGO, the only worthwhile free2play game out.

Probably just getting old. I lost interest in video games like 5 years ago. I used to be able to play for hours on end.

Far Cry 5 was good, I played the chit out of it and even started a replay of it. I hadnt played all the others before it though. I did start to play far cry 4 and 6 afterwards and those were boring.

Far Cry 5 had enough mixing of a story in there to make you interested in the characters but at the same time simple enough to pick up without studying chit and just play it.

These days all the games want you to study there points system and chit. Fuk learning some new RPG, last thing I want to do after working for Mr. Sheckelstein all day is to come home and research imaginary magic potions and character builds just so i can play a fuking video game. I remember games like Zelda on SNES where you could just pick it up and play without having to research ****.

Games like Baldur's Gate 3, if you can handle turn based isometric, should return your faith. I think Path of Exile 2, Black Myth: Wukong, Dragon's Dogma 2, all have valid chances as well. Any game released by From Software should also be up for research.

All the mainstream FPS games we knew and loved (Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield) have gone straight up sloppy (Halo Infinite, CoD MW3, Battlefield 2042).

Both I’d say. I played enough rpgs and fps by now that all the story and gameplay mechanics are all so similar. Graphically, Witcher 3 and other new games are great but I couldn’t see the hype behind the Witcher 3 story because I’ve seen all the small twists in the side quests before

Most games blow. There's a few good ones, but they're rare. Too many rehashes of old material. I mostly only play stuff that Ssethtzeentach reviews since we have pretty similar tastes.

Massive corporations took over the video game industry in the early 2010s that's why most games nowadays are designed to take your money via microtransactions rather than just a bunch of nerds forming a small company to create games with fun and entertainment as the top priority. The corporations also use diversity quotas which in turn makes all the new **** woke
