I love both of these songs, although in each case lamenting an old relationship is really a metaphor for entering middle age. It's less about losing a woman than feeling nostalgic for a golden time you can never experience again.

And probably one of the best song of all time, live version because Jon is the ideal rock star:

Actually, Bon Jovi write some of the best love and loss songs of all time. Outside of like Bed of Roses and I’ll Be There For You. I have a whole playlist of their heart breakers, I can suggest some if people are interested.

With lyrics:

“Listen to your friend Billy Zane. He's a cool dude. He's trying to help you out.”

"The reason we are being murdered with genetic altering drugs is its slow acting and it causes your body to malfunction and destroy itself so there is a "plausible deniability" factor. Unlike most poisons which leave more evidence of being the direct cause of death."

I'm #12 in Y2J's "club"...and I'm scared.

This week on The Buff and the Beautiful: Colleen comes up with a new scheme to win over Carlos. But first she has to gain the trust of her captor.

Oh yeah, that's a great one too!

Nice! Hopefully you can go too. I have seen them soooo many times going back to Hysteria. We slept out and had 2nd row. I can't remember what year it was but they played one whole side of High N Dry. That was awesome. I think the last time I saw them was 2015 or 16. I really wish we'd been old enough to see the Pyro tour. That had to be epic.

How was Aerosmith? Did they get to your show before they cancelled?

Merry Christmas!

Good memory! No ours was cancelled lol. Hoping they reschedule soon. Seen Def Leppard a bunch, love them.

That said, I feel spoiled growing up with all this great music, but was too young to see these shows in the bands prime. They are still good but it’s different.

Merry Christmas! Oh that sucks it was cancelled. I hope they are able to do their tour at some point so you can go. I think they cancelled right after they did their show up here. I was so bummed I didn't get to go seeing as it's their last tour.

You reminded me I need to call tomorrow and get tix to the Def Lep show. Last week was so busy getting ready for Christmas I forgot. Yeah it was much different when these bands were in their prime. I'm very fortunate I got to see most of them when they were.
