Barcelona is a sht circuit anyway so the positive is that we are getting rid of a sht circuit for circuit that might be better

Looks like drivers are locking down for long deals at current teams. Leclerc and Norris just signed on for big deals.
Obviously it isn't the drivers on these teams that are failing. It seems like leclerc Norris, maybe piastri (still a bit soon on this but he's a monster), Alonso, and obviously verstappen are all champion material…. But with F1 becoming such a red-hot thing, I can see them getting bogged down with massive contracts on sub par teams for eternity just because there's gonna be an ass load of people vying to get in. You just need to buckle up and go for it, hope your strategists and engineers can figure out their failures quickly.

I think based on nothing that ;
Albon will end up at ferrari (in the next year or 2)
Sainz to Sauber (for easy transition into audi)
Piastri to Mercedes (once lewis goes)
George Russell needs to have a good season or 2 otherwise he is on the chopping block coz Mercedes will absolutely kick him out for a piastri or this new verstappenesque kid Kimi Antonelli

F1 just tore Andretti to shreds lmao and then denied their approval.
Looks like they either have to wait until 2028 and have GM fully on board or buy out a team.

Also, no american really cares about american racing heritage - especially as it relates to F1.
Our motorsport genres of nascar/indycar/short track/drag racing are so old school…. The guys running these teams are dinosaurs. Hell, even the drivers are OLD. There won't be a young american viewership spike into F1 because some old fart american is making the team… Just look at HAAS.

Holy **** boys, Hamilton is going to ferrari for 2025!!!!!@!
I guess that means the new merc is still sht.
What does Red bull do with their 2nd seat now? Surely they can't risk ricciardo against a hamilton/leclerc combo

Guess I won't be a Ferrari fan anymore after 2024…. wtf?
Never in a million years would I ever have guessed that.
I'm guessing SAINZ will be the Audi guy - just a guess based on his fathers rally work with Audi.
My mind is full of fuk LOL.

Hamilton is a brand. Joining Ferrari makes him more marketable and likely means that he might retire in 2026. He always wanted to join Ferrari, so it is now or never.
Also, Ferrari is the safest bet now for a team to catchup RBR in 2025 -> their reorganising their structure, seem to have a better direction than Merc. With 2026 regulation changes - RBR will be with Ford so they might end up shyt and moral has been quite shyt with Merc lately.
+ If he wins with Ferrari (after almost 2 decades of no WCC for the team where everyone failed) he will be the GOAT
It is the better gamble to join Ferrari - from marketing and wdc oppurtunity point.
Think about it - from all the former glory GOAT teams, Ferrari are the only team motivated enough to somewhat keep it up intact and this is all because Ferrari breaths racing, thus why every driver wants to drive for them. Every other team is just some corporate marketing on wheels or once former brand who lost it's soul from being sold here and there to arabs every few years.
Williams became shyt and was sold to some dudes, Mclaren became shyt.
Mercedes are just there for marketing - the germans ain't even really involved with the team, it is basically just some souless corporate facade. You can fully expect from a corporative team as such to pull the plug the moment they ain't winning for a few years.

Anyway 2024 should be funny. Can't see Merc favouring Hamilton now throughout the season. Very odd timing for him to announce this move now. Why not do it at the end of the season and have 1 solid year with the team that made you?? Now it's just sour grapes the entire year.

I can easily see RBR shareholders getting triggered by Lec & Ham so they might indeed push to sign Alonso for a year or two. After all RBR are more for the marketing there. Also Horner has been always horny for Alonso
Also they srs need a replacement after 2024, Alonso is the only option if they want 2 great drivers that are on the same caliber as Ferrari

Damn big news. Finally something real happening this season. Apparently there's rumours they could finish the "transfer" this year already and Hamilton could be in the Ferrari soon?
Maybe that's why they brought the news to try and place a bomb under the whole thing and speed it up.

Albon is in a place with his form currently that he could be an absolute menace in the Red Bull. On Max’s level? Nah, but he could do some damage for sure. He could be a great option for their number 2 driver.
Alonso won’t be number 2 anywhere. And Christian has said numerous times that two drivers who think they’re number 1 simply doesn’t work.

I just want to see how Hamilton will perform against Leclerc. If Charles bodies him like he did with Vettel, then it means that Sainz was a sleeper WDC-tier driver and Rusell is just trash.
I expect though that it will be tight between the two with Leclerc having the upper hand on Qualy

He out performs LeClerc on the regular. They go back and forth depending on track and (I guess) how good of a job Ferrari does or doesn’t do on the car setup on any given weekend.
