I'm watching swarm on Amazon it's pretty ****in weird but I like it. I think it's heavily Donald glover influenced so if you like Atlanta you'll prob like it.

The main character is a black chick tho so idk might not be for everyone.

Even in the latter slump it was still better than the rest of their garbage and it never derailed into forced, "woke" mental illness, either. In fact, right from the start it was already diverse in a perfectly organic manner thatcomplementedthe world and world building. Seriously, the casting was outstanding; even towards the end when it was kind of meh (spoilers):

I was still flat out impressed by how damn good of a job they did casting Naomi and Marco's son, Filip, because he lookedexactlylike how you would imagine their son would look between them. Yeah, casting people who actually look the part. Imagine-fücking-that.

They never should have got themselves into the creative side and stuck strictly to letting actual production companies handle the hard part while licensing their content.

All the big companies outside of Netflix are squirming because they're finding out the hard way that trying to do what Netflix did while also bankrolling expensive TV shows and movies is an extremely difficult feat. They all could have been happy each getting a slice with outfits like Netflix handling the streaming and content delivery side, but they each wanted the whole damn pie to themselves, so now all the services are turning sour.

Most of the books are really good. I've rated most of them 4/5 and 5/5. It's definitely the screen writers messing up the story.

So far I'm not a huge fan of some of the newer ones in the series. Lee Child is passing the character off to his brother Andrew, from what I understand, and they cowrote some together. They aren't bringing anything new to the character and things are starting to feel recycled and maybe even mildly woke.

The first book, Killing Floor, is okay but the series really started to get amazing after that.

I was watching episode 7 and it hit me why this season sucks.

They've made these 2 females basically as capable as Reacher. Especially that mixed race one, she's a damn superhero nearly.

I mean what do we need Reacher for when we've got these 2.

And it's not his unit thing....because the men are all dead and the one that's left alive, they're constantly mocking him, even had flashbacks to how poor his aim was etc.

Amazon wokeness on full display and it's ruined the show.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

Yep part of what made season 1 great was the stark contrast between Reacher and the normies he was protecting. In this season he just doesn't stand out as something special compared to the cast who is as good as, if not better than him.

On season 1 now.

Jack Reacher is the hottest character on the show. Looking forward to the diversity and inclusivity in the next show, the current show is lacking in powerful female characters.

The Special Investigator Unit storyline is lame. I watched episode 7 last night and holy hell the flashback was cringe-inducing. At least the love interest is actually hot this time.
