Indy, Hellblade, and Avowed all look solid.

Not a big 4x guy so I won't play Ara and I have never been able to play the Mana series (just not enough time) so I will probably skip that one.

The recent robocop game absolutely nailed it by getting the original actor to come back and do the voice. It added so much more nostalgia and nuance to the character versus getting some random dude to voice robo cop.

Mirin how Xbox has a more Sony style line up of games than Sony itself.






Indiana Jones looks fun, but nothing mindblowing.


Awowed stays looking lame, the combat just looks so stiff and unfun, the characters look like robots, it's almost bethesda levels of jank ... the world environments are nice, but it just looks so bland. The only thing that'll save it is if the rpg elements and story are firing on all cylinders. The gameplay however just looks very bland. I'm just waiting for Obsidian to be done with this game so I can see what they're working on next and hopefully it's POE3.

The last good game Machinegames made was... Wolfenstein: The New Order ten years ago.

What's surprising to me is just how much Wolfenstein I'm seeing in it, and I'm not saying that as praise. That hammer stealth was some 1:1 Wolfenstein awfulness, like the stealth in their games is such utter dogschit, but unlike Wolfenstein, it (unfortunately) makes sense for an Indiana Jones game to have a bunch of stealth.

As for being first person, I don't think it's necessarily a problem, but saying this as someone who's tired of so many games being third person narrative action games, it doesn't look that great here. If it wasn't being developed by Machinegames, I'd think they went with first personbecauseof how many similar titles are third person narrative action adventure games. This is one case where I really do think they're missing out on having third person animations to convey Indiana Jones' character because otherwise it looks a hell of a lot like Machinegames put together an Indiana Jones themed Wolfenstein, specifically The New Colossus (the bad one).

This being Machinegames, I suppose that Indiana Jones is sort of in their wheelhouse, what with the Nazis, but the major misgiving I have there is how even with the almost limitless allowances of the Wolfenstein universe, MG still managed to make them pretty damn boring in TNC. Indiana Jones is far more grounded by comparison, so I'm even less confident that they'll be able to make the combat side of things all that engaging. I put atonof time into TNC in particular just to begrudgingly get my money's worth, and outside of the strictly mechanical gameplay improvements, i.e. how the game controlled, I cannot express just what a dive off a cliff every other aspect of that game took compared to its predecessor The New Order/The Old Blood. So uh, yeah...good luckwith this one, and awfully bold choice to go through with a rented Disney propertyafterthey cucked the main character in his own movie.
