I wouldn't say it makes you retarded...just that it makes it much easier to sit and do absolutely nothing without feeling like a waste of space or feeling restless. Depends how you use it really. Most of the retarded stoners I know were already retarded without it. Most of the smart stoners I know use it to enhance their life/experiences (aka getting high before/during a hike, lifting, etc), rather than as a coping mechanism or substitute for actual activities (rotting while stoned and watching netflix for hours on end with little to no productivity)
Using myself as an example, I get violently high before I lift, play piano, go on hikes, etc. I also get violently high most nights as a way to help shut my brain off and go to sleep easier. I will also get moderately high immediately after a stressful workday to decompress.

My friends and I have beaten the topic to death. We all agree it helps us get in touch with our emotional side, and when used in moderation it makes our lives better in every way. Whether it's lifting weights, music, yoga, going to a concert, makes cleaning enjoyable...
If you don't feel that way about it, then don't use it. None of us are addicted to it, because we regularly travel and don't risk taking it with and simply don't need it and could use a reset. We all take our breaks when we feel like we don't need it or not getting the experience a reasonable amount should give you.
Today is such a wonderful use of it. Blizzard conditions with no end in sight. I'm going to smoke, make a real nice meal and watch a movie and relax.
I've had no issues with my lungs either. I hike and do cardio regularly and am in far better shape than most people I know. I can't think of a negative other than a slight amount of cost.

Hey stoners.... does pot help with pain.
Was on vicodin for 2 years for my back fusion till new rules and regulations cut me off.
I can function normally on vicodin but the couple times I've had gummies I get real loopy and tired
