Problem I got with the Infinite campaign is how it just doesn't have that flow and level design that Halo games used to stand out for. Like when you played those classic Halo games it felt like an adventure where you would make clear progression on your way through it. They managed to feel both linear and open at the same time in that sense, there was never any confusion over where to go or what to do next, and new areas would feel so distinctive where they would be open for you to approach them your own way. By comparison the Infinite campaign feels like a lot of open world single player FPS these days, just a big open map with destination goals for you to complete, without much in the way of distinction. That and the characters felt so much more cartoonish this time around.

Yeah man the old Halo levels were vast but also to the point. I get confused a lot in games nowadays and turn them off. In fact it's almost every game with a big map.

Like it doesn't get any better than The Silent Cartographer.

Wrong. H5 was trash. ...and it still is. H5 isn't a Halo game. Also I'd 15-0 you in a 1v1 if I cared enough to and I spawn killed all the good teams in Reach on a regular basis and was a beast in H3. H5 is garbage.



Inifinite is basically H5, trash games. Neither one is a legitimate Halo game, 343 has never made a good Halo FPS, never will.



4 is trash Reach is the last Halo FPS ever released, 5 is trash. The hate for Halo is because Halo has been dead since the release of H4 and yes, it got horrible after 343 took over, they even managed to ruin MCC on an epic scale.



You can thank 343 for that along with the rest of the morons at MS. The best console generation for MS was the 360, they will never rise above that. The last true golden age.

The new map Illusion is really good. Really brings the old Bungie vibe back into play. Best FPS going right now because there is so much content.
